  1. https://clips.twitch.tv/AffluentAwkwardCurryDoritosChip-8Bjqo7qDaf153pvF for reference here's a clip of it the top led flashing is the CPU led and the bottom led flashing is the DRAM led. when they flash it indicates a failure or not detected
  2. just took my pc apart to clean it and change the case since the old one was scuffed. it has a 6600k, msi tomahawk z270, tridentZ RGB 16 gb 3200mhz, 2060 asus rog strix OC. i put the whole thing together i changed the thermal paste and i plugged in some more fans and they dont spin and my screen is black. it was stuck in a boot loop the first time i plugged it in and then i took a ram stick out and it booted but no post. the DRAM and CPU ez debug lights keep alternating and i have no clue what could be wrong at this point. i tried dp, hdmi cables. i checked the connections and couldn't find any problems front pannel should be good. this pc worked perfectly before i did this. i have no clue what could be wrong.
  3. So I bought an h210i that comes with the next smart device v2 and it comes with a fan splitter looking thing I wanted to know if I could use it to plug 3 fans in the same motherboard header. It looks like one of them has a missing pin is that still ok ( they are both supposed to connect to fans)
  4. My Ethernet connection doesn’t work. I have tried other systems with success but mine doesn’t wanna work. It says “Unidentified network” and there is no internet connection. When I check activity (packets) it says sent 329 and received 0 idk if it has to do with anything. Also this computer was built about 2 weeks ago and it’s been wonderful haven’t had any problems with it. I have tried cmd commands, restarting pc, trying on another pc, networksettings and other cables. specs: ryzen 7 3700x asus X570-i tridentz 3200mhz ram 32gb gigabyte rtx 2080 windforce wd nvme ssd sn750 500 gb EVGA SuperNOVA gm650 NZXT H210i thanks in advance
  5. i just bought an EVGA gm 650 ( sfx power supply ) and a corsair premium cable kit i wanted to know if they are compatible because one of the pins is split into two cables to make an 8 pin going to the GPU and when i tried plugging the cable on the PSU side i couldn't do it because it was being blocked because some " pin sockets " , if you may, aren't rounded edges and are square and vise versa. just want to know what would happen to my system if i jammed the cable in the PSU. would i have any problems down the road or what. thanks in advance
  6. ok because i tested the rtx 2080 and the rtx 2060 and had a 10 fps difference in subnautica on highest settings ( no AA ) so thats why bottleneck came to my mind. the average for the 2080 was about 120fps and the 2060 was 110fps
  7. will my i5 6600k bottle neck my rtx 2080? ( i plan on getting a ryzen 7 3700x soon either way just asking to know for reference )
  8. sure but i trust asus more than gigabyte as a brand and this may be a ''bad'' opinion but thats how it is for me. sorry if i dont trust gigabyte as much as i should.
  9. well im just trying to reduce the chance of getting one. i really dont want to wait for a new one if it arrives doa therefore i want to take less chances of getting a doa. im saying this because i havent seen much doa from the asus boards reviews. i didnt check amazon reviews only. i aslo went thru newegg. thoses reviews arent full ''true'' reviews but its enough to know if someone got a doa board.
  10. i got the ram from a guy who was selling it for 165USD (220 cad) bc his mb works better with 4 sticks. i only put the ram in the part picker list for reffrence as to what ram i was putting in. also yeah thats a good idea but i have seen on many reviews of the h210i that it is a good thing to have an sfx power supply for more airflow for the gpu thats why i went with the gm 650 from evga as its the cheapest sfx power supply of 650w. also i have seen some reviews of that board gigabyte board and alot of people seem to have had problems and i am not risking having to send it back to get a new one bc the first one might have been DOA. my question here is, should i get the intel build or the amd
  11. I need to know which config is better. I will be using the pc for recording gameplay, editing gameplay and ofc gaming. (wraith prism) Also if you guys have any recommendations for different parts than the parts listed let me know! (the ram is the only part which i wont change) Thanks in advance!
  12. Is it really that’s overkill. I was planning on getting 9600k with aio but ryzen has more cores and threads and similar single core performance so I thought it would be a good idea to get the 3700x.
  13. This rig will be used for recording, video editing, gaming and streaming that’s y I want to use the 3700x also stock cooler is good so that’s y. Thank you for your answer.
