  1. I just use them more at home. Also I'm not a huge fan of over-ear headphones in public
  2. Thanks, I'm on Android so I'll probably go with the xm3.
  3. Already have a pair of those. I keep them at home though
  4. Fast boot was indeed the issue. Thanks for the hint
  5. Thanks I'll give those a try. Unfortunately I don't have much of a choice as I use Kali for my cybersecurity classes.
  6. I'm currently dual booting Windows and Kali Linux on my desktop (both on NVME ssds). It is set to default to Windows but when I let it boot normally I just get an error screen (attached). If I manually select the os in bios it boots fine. I'm not really sure what the issue is.
  7. I'm looking to get some noise-cancelling true wireless earbuds before this semester of uni. Does anyone know how these compare as far as sound quality goes?
  8. Starting today 3DMark refuses to read my system info and thus says my scores are invalid. Not sure what would cause this. The setting is enabled in the menu.
  9. I had overclocked my Titan X (Pascal) to the point that power was the limiting factor, +227 on the core and + 700 on memory. After a crash running Time Spy Extreme my system refused to launch 3D applications properly. I re-installed nvidia's drivers and everything launches fine. Could this be due to the gpu OC or is it more likely caused by an unstable CPU OC? CPU is a 9900K @ 5.2ghz, 1.344v
  10. On a custom loop with a 360mm rad it maxes out at 67c on non AVX workloads, 73 for AVX.
  11. 2 hours of Asus realbench. The avx offset is 4.8.
  12. Check the manufacturer's website for the drivers. That is fairly normal for a new GPU sometimes
  13. I just started overclocking my new 9900K, so far it's stable at 5.0ghz on all cores at 1.225v. Is this normal for this chip? What can they usually hit without exotic cooling?
  14. I just got two tubes from an official retailer. They look the same.
  15. The Asus Strix Z390 has a 4+2 power phase which I know isn't ideal, but would I run into any issues if I'm not pushing crazy overclocks? It has a vrm heatsink fan if vrm temps become an issue. Is anyone currently running these two together?
  16. Yeah makes sense. I'll just cobble together some hardware to test it out. I already have gigabit networking set up so I'll be good there
  17. On steam's website it says that with a capable host and client pc you can stream your games at 4K 60fps. My main rig is an i9-9900K with a Titan X (Pascal) so it can run 4k games fairly well. Does anyone know how powerful of a client PC is needed? Obviously gigabit lan but cpu and gpu requirements are less clear.
  18. Okay, thanks! I'll give that a try and see how it does without it. I won't be overclocking too hard at first since I only have a 360 rad for that and my titan x right now.
  19. PSU - Corsair RM750x I'm looking to upgrade my cpu and motherboard soon because my 6600K is a serious bottleneck to my GPU. I plan on upgrading to the i9-9900K and this motherboard since it is compatible with my waterblock. My question is can I just buy an additional 4-pin EPS cable for my psu or do I need a higher end one? Also does Z390 have any other odd hardware requirements?
  20. Does anyone know of any good ways to get as much performance as possible for benchmarking? I just hit 10,726 in superposition after watercooling my Titan. I have +200mhz on the core and +500mhz on memory. The CPU can be pushed a little further but i'm not sure how much that would up my score. Any input would be helpful.
  21. Unigine Valley 1080p Extreme Intel Core i5-6600K @ 4.5ghz Nvidia Titan X (Pascal) Average FPS : 153.4 Score : 6418
  22. According to the documentation on Asus boards Level 5 gives a 90mV droop so it seems like that will work for that. I'll try out the switching frequency later and see how it works
  23. I'm trying to push my overclock fairly close to max safe voltage to get 5ghz on my cpu for benchmarking. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the LLC settings on this board? If i'm correct then Level 4 or 5 would give "flat" llc voltages. If thats not that case then i'd be glad to hear otherwise. 25. Thanks! I got it all installed no problem. I had to widen the backplate holes a bit to fit the screws EK included but it all worked out well.
