  1. Im looking for different peoples opinions on how I should have my fans and AIO setup in my 5000x case. When I first built it I was focused more on aesthetics and RGB than worrying about airflow knowing that if the temps were too high I could just move some stuff around. My temps have never been a problem in the 6 months Ive had the PC and I could leave it how it is but Im curious to try out other placements and rotations to see how much of a difference they make to my temps both idle and under load. There are so many different popular ways to build a PC in these 5000 series cases but Im hoping theres someone on here with a bit more knowledge on cooling than me to point me towards the right direction. Let me know your opinions! My Specs: > Corsair 5000X iCUE RGB Tempered Glass Gaming Case - Black > MSI MAG Z690 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 > 12th Generation Intel Core i7 12700KF 3.50GHz Socket LGA1700 Processor > Arctic Silver AS5 3.5g, High-Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound > Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid AIO CPU Cooler > Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL 32GB (2x16GB) 3600Mhz Module > NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3080 10GB Graphic Card > WD_BLACK SN850 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD (Read: 7000MB/s | Write: 5300MB/s) > Samsung 870 QVO 2TB Solid State Drive (up to 560MB/s R | 530MB/s W) > Corsair RM Series RM850 80 PLUS Gold Fully Modular ATX Power Supply > Corsair iCUE SP120 RGB ELITE Performance 120mm PWM Fan - Triple Pack with Lighting Node CORE
  2. I wanna go with a brand new build because ill be giving my current pc to my step brother. Also I dont actually build my pc myself I have a very good company near me that build them for me.
  3. Nah I decided to wait to see what was released in 2020 and also didnt want to jump into anything before I knew I was keeping my job. So I still have my i7 and 2070. My biggest problem right now is that my current pc has terrible airflow because I didnt know anywhere near as much about pcs back when I bought this one.
  4. Mainly 1440p gaming on 144hz monitor, games like BF5, Arma 3 and other quite graphic intensive games . I do have 2 1440p monitors and i often have a lot of programs open.
  5. So I am in the process of selecting parts for my new PC. I have already chosen most of the parts but am looking for some advice on a few specific bits. The main specs will be: i9 10850k RTX 3080 16GB 3200mhz 2TB ssd 4TB hdd The bits I am looking for advice on is Motherboard, CPU cooling and case. Im unsure as to what is currently recommended for these parts when included in a build with a new 30 series card and 10th gen processor. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
  6. So i am finally upgrading my terrible old secondary monitor which is a 24 inch 1920x1080p benq. I am looking for a 27 inch (or close to, my main monitor is 27 inch) 4k monitor with the best colours possible. 60hz refresh rate because of youtube restrictions. If anyone knows of some good display would really appreciate some advice. ty
  7. Ok so after reading all these messages (very helpful btw thanks everyone who responded). What is the perfect pc for 1440p gaming at 144hz for this year. Bearing in mind if a new gpu comes out later this year I can upgrade to it then. Are we talking - i9 9900k / 3700x 16gb ddr4 3200mhz ram 2080ti a good motherboard (don’t really know about motherboards) @JoostinOnline
  8. It’s not that I’m having a problem with gaming because I’m not, I tend to get around 80-100fps on max settings. Guess I just like having the best parts ?. These rumored parts for 2020 are they new Nvidia GPUs? The research I’ve done is telling me that the Ryzen 7/9 are the best cpu atm? So should I just wait to see about GPUs because surely when they release them they will be super expensive if they top a 2080ti?
  9. So I am upgrading and have decided on the Ryzen 9 3950x 16 core processor and a Rtx 2080ti. I know quite a bit about computers but I have had never had one so powerful (16 core processor and 2080ti). That said I’m not sure what the best other hardware is to pair with these new high spec parts. I will be using this computer with one ASUS 27” 1440p 144hz ips monitor for my gaming, and also a Samsung 4K Quantum dot 28” monitor for my media e.g. YouTube, Netflix and general browsing. The games I play include DayZ Standalone, Arma 3, Metro Exodus, Escape from Tarkov and other shooter based games with amazing graphics. In terms of budget it looks like it’s going to end up at around £3200 or $4300 obviously I would like to keep the price down where possible but I don’t want to sacrifice any performance. Also seeing as it’s so expensive I kinda need this pc to last at least 2-3 years before my next upgrade. I do care about how it looks to a point e.g. RGB (preferably Corsair parts with iCUE compatibility) and the looks of the case. For storage I know I need 1TB Nvme Ssd for Windows/games and atleast 1TB HDD. As I am from the UK I have been using CyberPowerSystem and PC Specialist to build this computer and will buy it from one or the other. If anyone has any advice on good hardware that you think would fit my new pc I would appreciate it. ?
  10. So my main pc specs are - i7 9700k , 16gb ddr4 3k mhz , rtx 2070 strix oc , corsair hyro 100x watercooler. I currently have a ASUS 1440p / 144hz / 27 inch monitor for gaming, and a crappy 1080p benq 24 inch monitor. Im gonna scrap the benq monitor. What is the best monitor for Youtube / Netflix watching??
