current config is just the isp's modem+router+AP combo, id like to make a pf sense router or even buy a routerboard router so i can run that into a switch and actually get ethernet to the parts of my house that need it. plus i dont really trust comcast in general so the less they are involved the better. also id like everything except the modem to be rack mounted

So we have a landline phone that uses rj11 and im currently looking for a new modem So i need coax in, rj11 in, and Ethernet out. However i noticed modem selection with an rj11 port are slim and fairly pricey. my question is, is there any way to convert this rj11 connector to an rj45 connector and plug it into something like a switch, or the router itself. Looking to build a dedicated 24/7 server for arma 3. I hear high clock speeds are the key but now with AMD having better clock speeds i dont think "whatever i5-i7 has the higest clock speed" is as clear of an answer anymore. what would you guys recommend?
