  1. I couldn't find a post about this and I hope this is the right spot. I got myself an rog ally for my birthday, I chose it for various reasons. One thing I wanted to do was some emulation, specifically super Mario bros, and super Mario world (pretty much all I played as a kid that wasn't PC) I got it set up with emudeck and both games run fine except for the fact my controls don't function really at all. In SMB the dpad and left stick will move Mario forward and backward but neither will crouch. The A button pauses the game and the B button exits out when hit twice. In Mario world the dpad and stick move Mario to start points on the mad but I can't enter the level, A does nothing and be again exits the game. None of the other controls do anything at all. I've tried setting controls in emulation station, RetroArch directly, and through steam since emudeck has it set to run the there. I have tried setting up steam controls as well to no avail. I read to use gamepad mode through the ally and nothing. I know it's not working because I'm not doing something correctly but being new to emulation I haven't the foggiest where to go from here
  2. That's the truth!! And sadly I have already checked to see if it has the capability to be put in bridge mode uhg! Thanks again
  3. Going that route shouldn't reduce my overall bandwidth correct? Idk if I'm wording that correctly
  4. I finally got 1gb fiber today after years of waiting for it in my area!! The tech assured me that the BGW320 was high end and would handle the device connectivity I needed in regards to the bathroom type (using his boys both playing Xbox as an example) however after connecting everything I am getting a moderate Nat type. Previous on uverse 100 I had to turn the gateway a passthrough to use a nighthawk to get my desired results. I was hoping to not so that this time, but is that the only option? I can't seem to find the needed settings on the gateway to make this happen for multiple devices...and tbh I think the range is a bit lackluster. Thank you for your help!
  5. I got the booting issue fixed, I have no idea what to do with the the ram timing issue though. I should probably mention that I had previously used ryzen master to try and overclock, which included setting the ram. I thought I had gotten it reset but could that be causing the issue? I ran RM at the suggestion of a friend of mine since I'm new to overclocking....I didn't see that many were having issues with RM till after the fact as my friend, I thought, was well versed
  6. Oh and now I'm having trouble with it booting.....I'm getting an 02 error code so initialization before microcode loading........
  7. I cleared the cmos and my timings are still showing 16.16.16.34 though I set the xmp profile of 14.14.14.24
  8. Thank you, I'll do that tonight after work and check back in!
  9. I have a question. In bios I set my dram to stock 3200 14.14.14.34, but ryzen master and cpu-z both show my timings are at 16.16.16.(can't recall the last number but it was higher than 34) could they just be showing incorrect readings? Is there another software I can check it on, or do I need to do something different in bios? They both show my speed to be correct. Also, how I set in bios was I manually set the speed to 3200, then opened up docp(I think that's the acronym) to apply the xmp profile, there was only one available 3200mzh 14.14.14.34. I'm using trident z neo with stock ratings at that speed and timing. Ryzen 5 3600, rx590, trident z neo 3200 cl14 (14.14.14.34), Asus rog crosshair viii hero x570
