  1. The idea is to chance CPU and mobo next year, but yeah, that's actually a good point, I could sell my current 2400mhz dimms and get the ballistix ones, they also give me the option for a little futureproofing in the case I eventually needed 64GB.
  2. it's the idea, but I don't know if the performance I get for the extra 100dlls is worth it or if it's better save them to get the 3900x instead of the 3700x or in another more critical component. Also, even I'm planning of use it as a gaming machine eventualy, my first and most important use is as a workstation for the software I mentioned, and that's where I want to know if the performance is worth. In the videogame department, I mainly play single player story driven games.
  3. Hi! I'm new around here, I've been wanting to upgrade my DDR4, currently I have 16GB HyperX Fury 2400Mhz 8GBx2 dimms, I want to expand to 32GB, my two options are as follow: Getting 2 new 8GB 2400mhz HyperX kit so I complete the 4 dimms set, for about 89 us dlls (and OC them to 2666 or 3000), or getting a kit of Ballistix sport AT 3200mhz 16GBx2 for about 189 usd dlls, as you can see it's a pretty big money difference. Currently Im running a ryzen machine with a 1700 ryzen, Asus TUF B350 plus gaming mobo and a GTX960, I use the machine mainly for 3dsmax, unreal engine, zbrush, vray, corona render, after effects, substance, etc and some casual PC GAMING. My plans for the current system is to upgrade next year to a 3700x or 3900x if budget allows it, that comes obviously with a new MOBO upgrade and a new cooling solution, and a RTX2060 SUPER and I've been saving for that, so I don't know if the performance gain of making the jump from the 2400mhz dimms to the 3200mhz is worth the extra 100 dlls. Also, I think it's worth nothing that I've been a console gamer for almost all my life but I kinda want to make the jump to full PC gaming for the next generation. Hope you can help me make my decision, Thanks!!!
