  1. That's amazing number. I'm picking up gigabyte aero 15 OLED XD version with i7-11800H and 3070 8gb today I hope this should be okay for the 4k editing
  2. Which laptop would you recommend for videos editing with 5800H and rtx 3070
  3. i7-11800H or ryzen 7 5800h which is better for video editing with all the specs including ram and GPU all same 16gb ram and rtx 3070 8gb
  4. Oh okay would you be able to recommend couple of options for the price range? So I can compare and will be able to pick correctly.
  5. See that's where the issue comes in because I won't be able to take external display with me esp on the go. Gigabyte aero is offers 100 color gamut but I was concerned regarding the 3060. Since you cleared that out it helps a lot thank you.
  6. Also I found a Asus ROG ryzen 7 5800H with QHD screen and 3070 8gb and it's 200$ cheaper but question is the 4k screen. How big is the practical difference in editing 4k on QHD screen ?
  7. I'm looking specifically for a laptop so I can edit and work on the go. I built a 4k system last year and it's a powerhouse but unfortunately cannot take it across country while traveling
  8. Apple prores and H.265 as well as H.264 and regarding effects DR17 studio edition is well equipped is really nice effects so stick to those.
  9. Budget (including currency): 2300 CAD Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: it will be strictly for photo and video editing in 4k. I will be using capture one 21 and affinity photo for photo editing. DaVinci resolve for video editing. I was looking at gigabyte aero 15 OLED with 3060 graphics card but not sure if 3060 will be future proof enough for 4k editing and I am changing my laptop after 7yrs so hoping to last it atleast the same time.
  10. Any recommendations for 4k monitors as those are necessary to edit 4k videos
  11. Thank you so much I will go through these and will pick the card accordingly.
  12. Thank you so much!!! for detailed explanation and reviewing my build. I went with 5700xt as DR is supposedly working with AMD and making 5700 cards much more compatible with their rendering and color grading procedures in near future. But I will definitely keep an eye out for 2060 super as in terms of test and other geekbench it is just tad below 5700xt. The reason I went with one NVME as I am trying to keep my initial build under 2500$ and in future when things are getting more stable financial I can always opt in for another SSD or NVME for that matter. I went with 32gb 3600ghz as it works best with 3900x and recommended by AMD.
  13. I used Corsair as it is PCI gen4 and amazing read and write speeds as compared to anything on the market other than gigabite PCI gen4 and as I will be rendering mostly 4k videos so the time will be alot less and also it is future proof.
  14. I specifically wanted to opt for Davinci Resolve as I find it easier to control and don't have to go on subscription based service for my software. One time payment and it's done
  15. I wanted to get 32gb with cas latency of 17 and this was the cheapest
  16. Hi, I am building my new video editing pc and created a part list from part picker but not sure if it's an overkill or if I'm lacking something for a 4k video editing. I am not focused on gaming at all it is mostly for video and photo editing. I want to keep it under 2500$ and right now it's little over the desired budget. Also I am looking for some recommendation for some 4k monitors for this particular build.
