  1. What have you tried and what do you recommend?
  2. Thx for the advice, I was already skeptical. Would you recommend the Jabra 75t?
  3. Sry to hijack thread, but i was too lazy to start a new one. I currently have an offer for the Sennheisser true wireless on ebay for $140 + $8 shipping. I'm concerned that the battery drain that people complain about and the connectivity issues will get in the way of convenience and make it sometimes unusable such as in long use cases and in highly populated areas. Advice?
  4. That's quite a high OC, any other changes or issues since then?
  5. !!!! BIOS UPDATE WORKED! 3.50 It still has the issue where it won't display anything during the bios, but at least it's running... anyone have any suggestions about bios display? Does anyone recommend I flash the gpu as well to see if that fixes it? Or should I leave it be
  6. Yes, it's powered, but the fact that I can't boot from slot 2 might indicate a damaged slot
  7. I have everything installed and I can boot with the 5700 in slot 2, but both GPUz and ATI only detect my 7870. How can I switch the selected gpu? I tried physically switching them but it won't boot past bios when 7870 is in slot 2 (i think I was already aware of this issue, another reason to rma I think?) anyways, yeah how can I select the other gpu to flash
  8. Ok, so to be clear, I should update in consecutive order starting with 3.4 first. And if I put my 5700 in the other slot then it will be flashed along with the mobo? Or I need to glash it separately through a different means
  9. Ok then, I will try updating bios, at first I thought I would need to go find a ryzen gen 2, but since it runs stable with the old gpu (I'm running Minecraft atm) then I assume it's safe to update right now with the ryzen 5 3600 in
  10. No I have the 8 pin, it's the 6+2. I'm just saying that it should draw more power right?
  11. ahhh! you say they both draw the same amount of power from the PCIE slot but what about the PCI cable directly from the PSU? My old gpu only needs 2 6 pin connections, while the rx 5700xt requires a 6 pin and an 8 pin. Doesn't that mean it draws more power?
  12. By booting they system with the other gpu, I see that I have version 3.30 bios which I believe to be the most recent version. It was kinda hard to tell on the website
  13. I originally assumed that I would need to update the bios, but when it arrived it had a "Ryzen 3000 ready sticker" So I went ahead and booted the system. To my knowledge the entire thing wouldn't even boot without updating right? And if I needed to update why would it boot normally with an older GPU?
  14. I bought new parts for my build and I've just hit wall after wall. :( Specs OLD PSU: Thermaltake TR2 600 watt NEW CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 NEW RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 3200MHz ddr4 NEW MOBO: ASRock x470 Master SLI/AC Open box eBay GPU: RX 5700 XT NEW PSU: Corsair CX 750M Monitor: Acer s271hl 1080p Aight... When I first put everything together, the whole thing booted but there was no display. I tried to reboot a few times and sometimes the monitor would say INPUT NOT SUPPORTED rather than just "no signal". At this point I was kinda scared that the GPU was defective as I DID BUY IT OPEN ON EBAY. I switched out the GPU and the whole thing booted just fine supporting this hypothesis. All this messing around ended up killing my power supply and maybe damaging my motherboard. The PSU was already on it's way out and not good quality to begin with. I think the mobo was damaged because now the CPU fan and I presume the CPU have a 5 sec delay before booting with the rest of the PC. Next morning: I messed around with it even more with old GPUs and a spare PSU, found the Ryzen was being undervolted at 1.1V - adjusted to 1.35. Idk if I actually changed this now or later, but I DID SOMETHING TO GET A FLASH OF DISPLAY. The monitor still said "INPUT NOT SUPPORTED" while in the bios stages but then WINDOWS WOULD BOOT UP and sometimes I could even log in before i got BSoD. I had enough time to check the display refresh rate. I was able to change it to 60hz (NO RESULT). Running errands: I brought my GPU to a friend's house to test. His computer ran my GPU flawlessly... I dont know his exact specs, but he had a ryzen 5 1700 and was running with an rx 580 before. SO GPU IS NOT DEFECTIVE. Also bought a new PSU at Best Buy. the 750 watt semi-modular PSU by Corsair. Back home: Still giving me BSoDs... Primary BSoD message is stop code: WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR. In ONE situation, it also displayed stop code: VIDEO SCHEDULER INTERNAL ERROR. Also I ran with the old GPU's to update Radeon software, then also tried uninstalling Radeon driver My thoughts: "Mobo has a 4 pin 12V slot in addition to regular 8 pin. my PSU didn't come with a 4+4 CPU cable. computer boots normally with lower power gpu (Sapphire Radeon 7870 ghz edition). Therefore it must be that my GPU is sucking too much power from CPU and so when my CPU tries to utilize more than ~5%, it runs out of voltage and crashes. SOO... I go and buy a CPU cable with 4+4 from Goodwill. I go home, plug it in, and my PC WON'T BOOT. Figured out it won't boot while this new foreign wire is in. I pull it out of my mobo and leave it hanging from PSU while booted... I hear a POP! and a WHINING.... I check the hanging cable, its making hissing noises. I look at it, it is rated for 600 watts (COULD BE WHY?) soo, good thing it didn't boot with that in. So that's where I am now. Suspicions: - Mobo is defective and I need to RMA it because it undervolts my CPU and who knows what else. - My monitor just doesn't like my GPU, if this is the case I have no idea how to fix it I'm pretty sure the problem lies in either one of those situations, OR it is a combination of the parts consisting of my build. SO, I need someone to tell me if there's any compatibility issues... If my mobo does in fact need a 4 pin cpu wire add on to be stable Whether I should RMA the board Why my monitor might say input not supported only with that GPU.
