  1. Quick update, I've messed around a little in BIOS and in my pc, the Idle is now back down to 39 - 40 C. And the idle cpu usage went down to where it should be. Im pretty sure my pc overclocked my cpu and I didnt want it to.
  2. after testing now it seems that the pc likes to BSOD at around 81 degrees. The core temps, however, stay within 5 to 7 C of eachother
  3. I have some Arctic Silver 5 already on there which I would say is pretty good so I probably should just get a new cooler?
  4. Ive been noticing over the past 3 days that my CPU idles at around 50 C. If I was using this computer to do work, I wouldn't be worried. The bad part is that because of this strange extra heat, I run games at up to 100 C, causing a BSOD and no fun. I recently cleaned all of my fans and applied new thermal paste. I have made sure everything is seated right and there are no problems with hardware. The CPU stays at a normal use of about 10% while idle. My CPU is not overclocked. Connected will be a CPU-Z screenshot of my CPU and a HWMonitor screenshot. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
  5. I understand what to do, but what did these 4xx variant drivers do to the performance of the gpu?
  6. How do I do that? All I know how to do is keep my drivers updated
  7. In 2018, my gpu fried and I had to get a new one. I got a GTX 1060 6GB. When I got it, I was able to run games like Counter Strike: Global Offensive at a consistent 300 frames. I had overclock the gpu when I got it. Since i got it, it has not been performing like it should. In GTA 5, it tells me that im only using 2gb of the 6gb but im getting noticeable bad frames. CSGO now runs at 120 frames and it constantly drops to 90. My PC Specs are, Windows 10 Pro (x64) Maximus VII Hero 16 Gigs of RAM. GTX 1060 (6GB) Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz, 4001 Mhz, 4 Core(s) Any help would be greatly appreciated
