  1. In the past week, I have seen them in stock in Currys PC world for around 500. However looking now, they are out:(( Hopefully they will be back soon I would prefer the Asus TUF one but not sure if that will ever be in stock
  2. Budget (including currency): £250 on top of what I could get for my 2060. Country: UK Hi. Looking on ebay, I have seen graphics cards the same as mine (MSI VENTUS XS OC RTX 2060) for close to £400, of course because of the stock issues and demand. I bought mine for £280 about a year back. Do you think it would be worth selling mine right now, hopefully for £350 or more and then using the money I already have to buy an RTX 3070? Is this a good idea or is it worth waiting. This is my current rig: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor £149.99 @ CCL Computers CPU Cooler Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler £29.80 @ Amazon UK Motherboard MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard £89.99 @ Ebuyer Memory Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory £72.80 @ CCL Computers Storage Sabrent Rocket Q 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive £109.99 @ Amazon UK Video Card MSI GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB VENTUS XS OC Video Card Case Phanteks Eclipse P400A Digital ATX Mid Tower Case £83.99 @ CCL Computers Power Supply Corsair CX (2017) 650 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply £116.93 @ Newegg UK Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total £653.49 Generated by PCPartPicker 2021-01-04 17:08 GMT+0000
  3. Nice, that build has a good upgrade path so will be relatively easy. For the CPU, I would go with a Ryzen 3 3100. They are currently out of stock everywhere but should be back soon. Here is an amazon link to it for £99. It has gone for £90 before so watch out for that on other sites too: https://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-Ryzen-3100-Processor-Cache/dp/B0876Y2TMZ/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=ryzen%2B3%2B3100&qid=1609778237&sr=8-1&th=1 As for the GPU, stock is very limited right now (mainly due to crypto mining.. grrrrr) but if you are OK with buying used, then maybe look at used 1070s or 1650/1660.
  4. Nice build! One of my friends has a build in the Meshify C and is running the same fan config as you. If I had that case, I would do that too:)
  5. That CPU is pretty old, and not great. The GPU is about equivalent to a GTX 1060 which is also not really going to cut it for 1080p 240fps on fortnite. The RAM cannot be changed to DDR4 so that can't make a big difference. My recommendation would be to upgrade the CPU, Mobo and RAM, and then the GPU later. A better CPU and RAM should fix your stuttering issue too. Of course it depends on how much money you are able/willing to spend.
  6. That should be fine. I have an Xbox One, TV, PC, two monitors, racing sim, led lights and usually charging my laptop and phone at the same time. I am in the UK and I have had no issues. However it will depend on where you live
  7. a 5800x would be a better pair with a 3080, but a 5600x will not bottleneck it. If you have the money for the 3080, then that will stillbe good
  8. Just keep looking around. In the UK, we occasionally have Ryzen 5000 CPU's in stock but in different retailers each time. Check pcpartpicker each day to see
  9. It depends, how much by? And what kind of 3D work is it. Is it quite light or more demanding? And what software are you going to be using.
  10. You haven't actually listed the parts list, just the link to the system builder, just thought I would let you know:)
  11. This is what I would go with. You will have to wait a bit for the CPU to come back in stock, and cheaper 3070s may come back in stock too. Also, you could pay an extra $20 for this case: Phanteks Eclipse P360A which is just as good, if not slightly better than the one I have listed.
  12. With a brand with many bad reviewed and unreliable power supplies charging the same, if not more, than companies like Corsair, I know which one I would pick. It's just with something as important to a system as a power supply, I would avoid Gigabyte, even if some of their PSU's are OK, and go with something from another company, for the same or cheaper that I know has much better reputability when it comes to PSU's. Of course, like with any brand they would, but most in the mid tier and the higher end (I guess over something like £60) most of theirs are great.
  13. Guys, chill. There is no fully right answer and is up to opinion and the OP. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is what I would go for to save money from the budget, while still having a great system. If you pay £120 extra for a 5900X, you might as go all out in all other departments. HOWEVER You have a £2600 budget and no one seems to be taking notice of it. OP said, I do not look to save money but also don't want to buy any overkills. That is why I went with 32GB RAM and 5800X, not a 5600X. Although you can spend more on a 5900X, better cooler, mobo etc, the reason I would recommend a build similar to the one above, is that spending an extra £800 is not going to get you much more performance. For example, you could fit a 3090 in your budget, but that wouldn't make sense for your use case. As for the build you suggested near the beginning of this thread, this is why I would not recommend some of those parts. Cooler Master MASTERLIQUID ML240L RGB V2 65.59 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler - AIO's already only last 3-5 years, which may be fine but are just not nearly as reliable as air coolers. Also, this AIO, while being decent is not the best quality one which will reduce the length it will last and faults are more likely. MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM4 Motherboard - While this is a great mobo, B550 is all you need as you are not taking advantage of multiple PCIe 4.0 devices. Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory - Good, but CL16 is better. If you want to save money then go for 16GB. but with your budget and what you said, 32GB is better. Gigabyte P GM 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply - Do not trust a PSU from Gigabyte! Stick to well known and good quality brands who know what they are doing like Corsair, EVGA, SeaSonic and Cooler Master. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope I helped! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: If you do go with this, 16GB is fine, unless you are upgrading to a better CPU etc. then I would stay with that Corsair 3600MHz you listed..
  14. depends on your resolution and what frame rate you want to play at
  15. Are you able to wait a bit? As all graphics cards right now are either massively inflated or out of stock. if you have to build now, this is what I would go with. If you can wait for prices to go back to normal, then just swap out the graphics card for a 1660 super (which should retail at £200-£240) Also, if you can wait for the Ryzen 3 3100 to come back in stock on amazon, it should be about £20 cheaper than at Scan. 17. Seeing as you are doing things in blender, making games and video editing, some extra CPU power would probably be useful over a Ryzen 5. Also seeing your budget, this is the best option. If you want to spend less then you can always swap the GPU out for a 3070, and go with a cheaper air cooler. 18. Is this PC for gaming? If so it is slightly unbalanced. Once I know your Budget and what it will be used for then I can help. (thats what the template is for)
  19. An X470 with Athlon is overkill. Save the money and go for a 3200G or 3400G PLEASE DO NOT PAY $200 FOR THAT CPU. At max pay $120. That CPU should usually be around $80 but with prices inflated and stock limited, everything has gone up. If you can, I would highly recommend waiting until the new year to build. If you can wait for prices to go down, go for something like this. It is just the CPU which you should wait for. It is out of stock at $99 rn but hopefully not for too much longer. 20. Gigabyte Z390 I AORUS PRO WIFI is pretty decent. Memory speeds up to 4400MHz and not too expensive.
  21. I have a Ryzen 5 2600 + an RTX 2060 and can run practically all the games I play at 1440p, over 100 fps on medium and sometimes high settings. It depends on the game but the 3070 should be able to smash most games at 1440p high/ultra with high fps.
  22. wow thats the only thing I can say *jealous*
  23. That is also a really good monitor! Is the same 4k, 144hz 1ms IPS etc. as the LG one. If you can find that at a reasonable price, that would be good:)
