  1. I put the Tv in game mode and took everything off that I could find in the tv settings and change my limited options to full in my resolution settings and still nothing I might just have to replace it and get another brad or something .
  2. Hi everyone I am using a 65-inch 4k TV as a monitor, Linus and Jay did a video on it...a LG 65SJ8500. Before I get into more detail's I Had a Samsung 55 inch 4k TV as a monitor before this 1 and and had no problems at all. I am running this on a ZOTAC GTX 1080 Ti AMP Extreme. So my problem is that my program icons and folders have horizontal lines that I can see but if I go into games I don't see any lines. The only other problem I am having is that the colors in the games are washed out a lot and HDR games don't look good at all. When I connect to the Samsung monitor with the same cable the lines are gone so I am not sure what it is.Please don't kill me I know I can get a really good monitor for the price of the tv but I love the big size and I just can't go back to a small monitor. My only main games are world of warcraft , diablo 3 and some overwatch with whatever in between. I will upload some pics so you can see what i am dealing with and you see it better in the origin logo. The camera is not picking it up good for some reason. Still a noob here, don't know a lot about screens . If nothing works I will just replace it with the Samsung mu7000 or mu8000 or sony X900E.
  3. Hi I upgraded my cpu from a 8350 to a 5820k and everyone was saying that i need to overclock it ... Scared shitless I decided to try an give it a shot. My spec 5820k cpu , Gigabyte x99 sli, Motherboard ,xfx295x2, EVGA Supernova 1300 G2 psu, 16gb corsair 2666 ram, Corsair h110. The only thing I change in the bios is the CPU Clock ratio from 33. to 45 Cpu-z Says Core Voltage is sitting at 1.251, And I ran the stress test AIDA 64 for 1 hr with no problems, Temp 62-65. If I bump it up 1 more time the pc will not load into windows. Please let me know if I am messing anything up and what you think I should do from here ? Am i good with this speed or not ? I never overclock anything before so I am a major noob when it come to anything overclocking any help will be nice thank you.
  4. Hi all i am not 100% sure but does it matter if I have 2 different sticks of ram would XMP still work if the other 2 sticks are from a different brand ? All the sticks will be 2400mhz out of the box. still small noob builder here lol
  5. Thanks for all the help looks like 80% of you guys said got with the 5820k so might just pick it up. It is going for about 100.00$ less than the 6700k so i save some money there for my motherboard I guess. I live next to a microcenter so i will just pick it up in store.
  6. Hi everyone I am upgrading from an 8350 and thinking about the new 6700k or the 5820k . I normally play wow on 3 - 27 inch monitors - 1 4k and 2 1080 monitors. Sometimes I'm running all 3 monitors at 1080p max ultra settings & sometimes I just use the 4k monitor on ultra settings on wow or battlefield 4 running with no problems with my 295x2. I never had and intel chip before and didn't do too much research back when I built this pc so more cores look better to me at the time. lmfao Don't kill me please, I see now that more cores are not always everything. I am still a noob when it comes to building a pc lol. So the final thing is the motherboard and the chipset x99 or z170. When I look around on the forum and other sites and videos it looks like the x99 is really good but the z170 is the latest. I saw linus video about the 2 mother boards but i am still lost as to which 1 to pick. Any help will be good thanks.
  7. Hi I am thinking about adding 1 more gpu to my r9 295x2 but I am not sure how the ram on the new card should be and I am thinking of getting the 8gb 390x. Does it matter if the card is 4 gb or 8 gb? I ask because of the whole thing of only being able to use only 4 gb of 8gb when in crossfire. I am not 100% sure how the ram would work if I crossfire it with my 295x2 . If 8gb does not matter I can just fall back and get a 290x 4 gb or something. And would 1300W psu be enough? I use 3 monitors one 4k monitor. Thanks for any help.
  8. yes i took a pic of my menu. Thanks i will download it and see how it goes.
  9. Hi I Just upgraded to the Crossover 404K from my Samsung U28D590D . I really like it so far and I didn't think this monitor came with amd freesync but it did and I dont know where to start with freesync. I looked up some videos and I saw that there is a FPS window that it needs to work with no problems. But I dont know what the window is for this monitor and I don't know how to test for the fps window I need . I am using a 295x2. The strange thing is that they did not say anything about this monitor having freesync when I ordered it but I am happy that it is on the monitor. This is the Ebay link i got it from ........ http://www.ebay.com/itm/400953352143%C2'> Any help would be nice thanks.
  10. Hi again everyone i just got a 295x2 and i was wondering if my cpu will bottleneck it. So i started looking online and almost 80% of the websites i visit they all said yes it will I am running an sabertooth 990 fx with and 8350. I just got a 4k monitor last year for christmas and the 295x2 for my birthday. I am asking all of this because it looks like need to move over to intel so I will not get a bottleneck I am lost when it comes to anything intel I don't have lot's of cast right now but I am looking into some motherboards and cpu's, And lol I just feel lost I have been only working with amd for so long so I really never had to keep up with intel stuff . So if you guys don't mind pointing me into the right direction just trying to start off somewhere where i will not get bottleneck then I will keep moving up from there. Only games i play are Wow BF4 and Hardline . Thanks for all the help Guys/Girls.
