  1. This picture explains what is happening recently The left comes from firefox and the right comes from chrome. As you see, this is not a global effect, so probably not monitor/cable issue. I found the tint happens to Chrome/edge (aka. chromium based software), effects all images and font colors (videos are fine). All existing answers are not helpful. What i have tried so far but not working: reinstall effected App Update windows update Nvidia driver update monitor driver/firmware reset monitor setting/ nvidia setting This could be a multi monitor issue, when i connect to a second monitor, there is a change that the issue is fixed. GPU 4090 / Monitor Samsung G9 Any suggestion is appreciated.
  2. issue fixed, here is the post i followed: In NVCP -> Displlay -> adjust desktop size and postion -> scaleing -> perform scaling on -> Display. Then the issue is fixed.
  3. Its under pc, the other 3840*2160 option does not support 120hz
  4. Im using a LG CX 55 and 3090 for the last few months and it worked great in the past few months. But just since yesterday, it start to have black borders on left and right sizes, which is the same issue this post describe. Now i found the deskop mode and active signal mode resolution does not match when i select 120hz but it was okay when i select back to 60hz. I have tried the trouble shooting google online (CRU, reinstalling nvidia drivers, etc) and when i test with another laptop with HDMI2.1, it was displaying 4k 120Hz normally. Please help me to trouble shoot the issue, Thanks.
  5. Also happen to some games I play. But google didnt tell me whether those games support 10bit.
  6. Not sure where I did wrong but youtube contents and many games I play still have this color gradient. Specs: Asus 3090, LG CX 55 Tv, HDMI 2.1 cable. Nvidia control panel with following setting: TV has HDMI ultra deep color enabled. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
  7. The answer is this might be issue with AMD BIOS and AMD has noticed the issue, theses obvious solution by my research so far. I just send the drive to my friends and they got files copies to another place.
  8. I just reinstalled windows, when i tried to install the raid driver from my mobo site (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X570-AORUS-ELITE-WIFI-rev-1x/support#support-dl-driver-sataraidahci). It can detect the raid drives correctly but when i reboot, it would show that error (inaccessiable boot device) and then force reset my BIOS. Not much useful info online. Please help me about the issue, and help or hint is appreciated, or is it possible to recover data in those raids without spare hard drive. Thanks
  9. Just picked up new 5900x to replace 3700x. But the new processor just randomly generate blue screen with WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR. What i mean randomly is that the interval could be 30min to 5 hours since last reboot. Mother board is AORUS x570 Elite wifi, tried the two most recent BIOSs, disable PBO, set/rest XMP, but still have blue screens. The wired thing here is that it can pass cinebench test and 20min Aida64+furmark test. But just rebooting my system when playing games and/or youtube. I google some post with similar issues, but most suggestions are pointing to BIOS or RMA. Any suggestion would be grateful. Btw i have a copy of minidump files and use windbg preview to test it. But did not get something useful tho.
  10. Live in Vancouver. Just pick up one GeForce RTX 3080 Ventus OC @ memory express last afternoon, after few hours test, im 90% condidence its defective. Well you guys can guess my feeling about it. Before I RMA it back today or , which i wish i can receive the refurbished before 2021, i want to see if there is still hope. Here are the clues: Motherboard VGA led on during self check for a few seconds It does has video output at the 800 * 600 resolution. Device manager reports code 43 "Force to reinstall graphics driver" Reinstall 456.71 would fail sometimes get 4k output but crash after few seconds. And my previous 2080 works fine with no issue. possible reason after google: Not enough power supply? (x) EVGA 850w would be enough. BIOS? latest of my mobo b350, maybe its too old for this system. Interesting finding: used after burner to declock ~100MHz, can last longer but will crash Conclusion: My previous set up works fine with no issue, but i dont have a separate system capable of isolating the problem. So ill take it in store 2 see if it can run on their system. But as i said, im 90% confidence that its defective. (might) Useful information: I ordered this one on Sept 21 midnight. So if you also ordered a card at memx and close to my date, you are close to pick up. Good luck.
