  1. I have a 6950xt which requires 3x8pin and a 13700k which will use 2x8pin, I have ordered an MSI MPG A1000G PSU which I thought surely would supply enough ports nowadays but I under looked and now worrying, how would I make this work? It looks like I’m missing 1x8pin, will this work with some extra cables they provide or something?
  2. Got a very cheap 9700k and pairing it with my B365m motherboard to run at stock, is a 4 pin cpu cable enough to power the 9700k at full capability or does it benefit to use a full 8pin cable. (I only have a 4pin extender to reach)
  3. I have a Corsair h100x cooler which works like heaven for my 8700k but I’m upgrading to a 12700, I was wondering if the 115x cooler will fit onto a 1700 socket, I know I probably need to get a 1700 backplate but will the cooler’s mount holes reach to fit onto the standoffs? Do the 1151 standoffs need to be changed for different mounting pressure? Maybe I need something extra to make it compatible? I’m not too experienced with brackets/holes/standoffs. I’m looking to get a MSI PRO B660m-B if that helps.
  4. Recently built a friend a pc with a 12700, it’ll be used for average gaming, during gaming it stays at 40-55c. I’m running a Cinebench R23 benchmark and getting stable temps of 94c but reaching 97c, he will not be doing any cpu rendering work but I’m just a pinch worried about the long run, would this be a genuinely worrying temp? He has a 2 fan UpHere air cooler and 6 case fans, I applied a generous amount of thermal paste and built 10 pcs but never this high end. 12700 b660 plus D4 3070ti 650w 32gb
  5. My monitors come up as “digital display” in control panel and I can’t adjust colour settings, anyone know how to fix? I’ve unplugged the monitor from display and power and still comes up as the same.
  6. I have built a used gaming pc for my girlfriend which I am taking this to tomorrow and decided to change the paste on my GPU and was successful but found that the thermal pads are CHALK dry, what quick can I do? Should I dabble a tiny drop of thermal paste on each?
  7. Just received/plugged in/formatted my new Kingston A2000 m.2 nvme which was advertised as at least a minimum of 2000mb/s read and write speeds but I get under half of that, I have a H310M S2H motherboard with an i3 8100, my motherboard specs specify that it has a Gen2 X2 m.2 port, and that is somehow "Ultra-fast", are my speeds due to the fact of this specification, are they being limited? In the BIOS there was an option of Auto,Gen1,Gen2,Gen3 for something, it doesnt say SATA though but I set it to Gen3 but it had no impact on the speeds either, and yes I have ACHI enabled.
  8. Hi, last night when I went to sleep my gaming pc with NO problems at all had an update, this morning I’ve clicked the power button, the gpu light gets power for a split second but nothing turns on, no fans spin, no output, when power button is pressed something makes a really delicate high pitch noise but it doesn’t seem alarming. please if anyone know what it could be please help, when it’s plugged in my light up mouse pad connected to mobo usb still gets power if that helps, also seeming as it gets power for a second it could mean the psu isn’t broken? 9. Hi, I had tried to get the 3070 to show some display but I can’t. First I plugged in and tried the ports on it which didn’t show anything, I then tried to use the motherboards ports and those didn’t work either, I then took out (motherboard gave display after) and turned on onboard graphics in the bios, plugging in the gpu but still connected to the onboard I finally had display, I managed to install newest drivers which was no hassle, everything showed up like a normal gpu would be connected. I thought the gpu ports would work now as it had the drivers so I went to bios and set to pcie express display and connected back to the gpu, still nothing, connected to motherboard and nothing either, I’m really confused, it was an upgrade from a 2060 and the motherboard is completely fine, the power cables are connected fully and fans spin normally on it, I just don’t know how to get a display out of it, help!
  10. Hi, about 2-3 days ago I started noticing a noise which doesn’t go away appearing after a few minutes of booting up my pc, I’ve checked my fans and gpu and know for sure it’s my AIO, I’m wondering if anyone could suggest how to possibly fix this, not sure if it could be air bubbles, the noise is exactly the same even if I shake the case a little or tap on the pump many times. The noise can be heard with the case closed and even with my headphones on, on my bed a couple meters away. Added a video of the noise. V IMG_2929.MP4
  11. Hey, I'm currently running an i7 8700(non k), all other specs will be sufficient, I am considering a 3070 from a 2060, I am looking for an answer, not suggestions for lower gpus, will the 3070 bottleneck the 8700?
  12. CPU: i7 8700. CPU Cooler: Corsair H100X. GPU: RTX 2060 Zotac. MOBO: Asrock B365m Pro4. RAM: 2x8GB 3000mhz Corsair Vengeance. PSU: 500W. Case: GameMax Abyss Mini. (Infinity mirror) Upcoming upgrades!: New GPU: Most likely RTX 3070 (Ampere release) or 2080 super. (Lower prices) + New PSU: 650W Corsair.

  13. Hi, I am considering upgrading a decent bit from a 2060, I am a little unsure if I should stick with the RTX side or go for a used 1080ti, I know the spec differences and most benchmark numbers but I'm just looking for some opinions, price isn't much of a matter to me right now. (Maybe ops on which one would hold up for longer/better optimisations etc)
  14. I would strongly recommend switching to 144hz, in the current market the prices are getting lower so it wouldn’t be a bad investment, general tasks and mouse aim in games such as csgo will feel more responsive. 1ms response time is a must have on a 144hz. Also with a 2060 most games would definitely run higher than 60fps.
  15. Hey so this might sound like a dumb question but, I have a pretty decent power supply but it’s silver and a side of it sticks out like a sore thumb in my black case, last night I covered it’s side with some strips of electrical tape to cover the exposed part, would this be of any harm to the power supply due to static electricity? I know that the tape is against conduction.
