  1. No real preferences on battery life, just that it lasts at least 5-6 hours to get me through a day at uni. In terms of displays, 13-14 inches is what I'm looking for, but willing to adjust based on advice, and weight would also be preferably quite light for portability. Thunderbolt 3 is not a necessity, just something that would be nice due to its versatility, say if I ever wanted to get a graphics card enclosure, or more likely, need to connect it to the multi monitor setups we have in some of the labs at uni. And yes, I am buying from the UK. The displays on all 3 are all rates quite well I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) and upgradeable RAM, for me at least, is not too much of a must, as I can't see myself upgrading it in the future.
  2. The Envy has Type A ports I believe, but yes I realise I will be living the dongle life XD
  3. I'm a Comp Sci student, who is looking for a portable laptop, to take uni notes on, and for it to have a decent processor to do some light programming on when I'm out and about and away from my PC, and will also be using it for media consumption as well. I've kind of narrowed it down to 3 options I like the look of, with them being the HP Envy 13, Lenovo Yoga S730 (the Ideapad 730S in North America I believe), or the Huawei Matebook 13. All 3 laptops you can get for just under £1000 currently, with all of them having the i7-8565U, 8GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. A touchscreen isn't a necessity for me, as I can't see myself really using it for much apart from zooming in on web pages. Also charging with a USB-C would be nice but it isn't an important thing for me either. I'm currently leaning towards the S730m mainly due to the Thunderbolt 3 ports, but all 3 would be good. I'm not really bothered about the ongoing politics regarding Huawei either, as I already have a P30 Pro. I'm just looking for advice really on which one to choose, but if I have left any laptops out that you think I should consider, and advice would be welcome :)
