update i changed the memory and only used one stick, the pc booted and all the fans are spinning but no dispaly or perpherials got picked up.

thats my theory as well, but how to undo it, cmos wont help, any other ways?

i have tried this, it wont work(tried both ways of doing cmos)

backstory my pc was running fine, then i randomly tried to change some config in bios, so i opened bios settings and i changed the following settings, changed the boot order to hdd first instead of cd-rom changed the RAM config to manual and instead of running at 667mhz changed it to 800mhz changed the fans speed to full instead of auto after doing this i saved and rebooted now, the pc wont boot or post no beeps the light on MOtherboard and PSU lits up but when i power up the pc(press on button) all the fans starts to run and then just dies and then again start to run and again die, and this will go on on repeat. ANy help will be appreciated CPU core2duo @ 2.8 MOTHERBORAD: DG41RQ PSU 300 Watts ram: KINGSTON 2gb and 1 gb (YEA, basically a potato pc with buitin heater for the entire room)

sorry for replying so late, are u preferring me MSI over Gigabyte? haven't looked at it in details but they both basically looks and feels same, will have an in-depth comparison later today

what boards will u recommend which have same color scheme and looks similar ?

hmm but is this board worthy of a long run , with future upgrades possible. considering that he will start with basic build and we will make upgrade it overtime

so my friend is upgrading his pc and thinking about trying AMD and has asked about Gigabyte GA B450M GAMING (rev. 1.0) AMD B450 motherboard review , and i dont have much experience with AMD. so what are ur thought about this board, should i recommend it to him ? yea thats another thing, i checked my system details in the bios and it stated 64x architecture, thats why i have installed 64 bit softwares and things and making the update as well

thank you for such a detailed reply, i have read board's manual before it clearly says that the max mem it supports is 8GB, thats why i was looking for 2X 4GB DDR2 mem in the first place
