I recently purchased a Thinkpad X1 Extreme and I wanted to install a new M.2 drive into it. I bought the XPG SX8200 Pro 1TB for the secondary m.2 slot, but after installing it, I noticed that it was flexing slightly. This is apparently because the drive has chips on both sides of it, so the drive doesn't sit flesh with the motherboard. This forum post basically describes what is happening with my drive: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/new-m-2-ssd-with-chips-on-both-sides-is-bending-when-installed-on-mobo-see-pic.2263014/ I've been looking at other forum posts where people say this is bad while others say not to worry, however, I wanted to get a third opinion on it. Should I continue using the drive or should I take it out? I'm not sure if I can return the drive either, since I already applied the heat sink onto it. Anyone have any advice? Thanks.
