I can't do anything from there but I have ordered a brand new ssd from Kingston which I am going to install Linux onto and then hopefully I can find the problem with my hdd

When I boot my PC I get a blancco report (which I think is because this was a used hard drive that had been wiped) which shows PC components that aren't mine. Thanks

Okay, sorry to say this a bit late but I just realised that when I boot the PC on the blancco report it says that I have a Intel core i3-2100? I have also tried to download Ubuntu to my PC via a USB drive but it still doesnt work I've formated the iso file with Rufus but when I plugged it in it still doesn't boot. Thanks

Hi, I am building an older PC with: Msi g41m-p28 motherboard Intel core 2 quad q6600 Nvidia GeForce gtx 570 (I think Fermi) 8 gigs of ddr3 (Corsair LP) WD blue hdd 500g Corsair cx 450m Acer R240HY bidx 23.8-Inch IPS When I boot the PC via the vga cable from the motherboard into the monitor there is no signal displayed on my monitor but when I blug a HDMI cable from my graphics card it displays a blancco report and I can't get into my bios to install Windows 10 from my USB drive.
