Hello! I've been saving up cash for a bit and I'm looking at building a new gaming PC. I know a little about building computers but I'd like a little help with a few things that I'm not sure about. But first things first:
1. Budget & Location
My Budget is a soft $2500 USD with a hard roof of $3000 USD. That's as high as I'm willing to go at the moment.
2. Aim
I'd like to be able to play any game I can throw at the system. 4K UHD is not required. I'm pretty comfy with 2K and honestly, I'm more concerned about playing the games than I am about having them look their greatest. That said, High graphics (Not ultra) is what I'm generally aiming for. I should also note that I plan on streaming with this rig as well.
3. Monitors
I plan on having 2 monitors. One of them will likely be vertical. 2K resolution is fine for me.
4. Peripherals
I have a good keyboard and mouse already so I'm not really worried about that. I also already have a copy of windows 10 so we're all good here.
5. Why are you upgrading?
I'm upgrading because I have an old hand-me-down rig that can sort of run minecraft if I use optifine. I looking to be able to play more than 2% of my gaming library.
And also, just for posterity, here is the build I've picked out so far on PC partspicker:
Big ol' list o' parts
(I hope that link works, please let me know if it doesn't.)
MY MAIN QUESTIONS are essentially:
A. I don't know much about cpu cooling, I'd like to go for liquid cooling but I'm sure what a good option is for that.
B. I'd like advice on what case to pick. In a recent LTT video, they mentioned tempered glass RGB cases which sound pretty cool, but are they good? If so, any recommendations.
C. I don't know anything at all about monitors. What's a good 2k monitor that won't break my bank?
Thanks in advance to anyone who replies!
