  1. I did all of that, now after reverting to an old driver (the latest driver Dell provided, which was in December, not using Nvidia official notebook drivers for now) it doesn't change to Intel HD but simply stops using all the GPU capacity and the frames drops. I have watched the temps, the CPU temps and usage, the SSD usage and there isn't a patron. The "down-phase" has happenedd while the temps are good, when the CPU it´s at 98% but also at 70%, and, in fact, just after the GPU usage drops, the cpu also drops, like waiting, so it´s not a CPU bottleneck. It happens also while de SSD it´s almost idle, so it´s no SSD bottleneck. I have lowered the graphic options to low, the resolution scale to 50% and does not improve much when the game suddenly decides to stop using the GPU. It´s neither a power issue, because I have run other games and benchmarks and everything's runs as it supposed to be. I have tried everything in the nvidia control panel. I´m out of ideas.
  2. I tried, and it only makes it worse, if I disable the IntelHDgraphics, which controls the display, the game barely opens, and the Nvidia GPU doesn´t register any usage.
  3. Hi, I got a Dell laptop G515 5587. I5-8300H, GTX 1060 Max-Q and 256 SSD. The game is in the SSD if you are wondering. So, I have checked the thermals both of CPU and GPU and the problem it's not thermal throttling. Now, this is what I know, and please take my word for it: Once every minute the game seems to suddenly switch to Intel Hd Graphics because the usage of the GTX drops below 10% and the Intel HD graphics peaks at 98%. And exactly during that change, obviously, the frame rate drops from around 50 to 9 or even 1fps. Then, exactly once the usage of the GTX goes up and Intel HD graphics goes down, the framerate of the game returns to the usual value. I've tried to decrease the graphics settings, even to play at 720p, the results are higher fps normally, but the same dramatically drop once every minute. Thus, the game is unplayable. In the Nvidia control panel, I have selected the GTX as the main graphic processor. I have read that it was a known issue last year but it should be fixed in the newer patches and I got the last one. English not my native language in case I've committed a major error in the writing. So, any suggestions? What can I do?? The game is very expensive and this is obviously the game´s fault.

  5. A friend asked me to buy him a laptop and he is an architect. I'm used to giving advice for gaming laptops and PC's but I don't know that much regarding professional applications and what do they need. He told me he will be using Adobe Illustrator, CORELDRAW, AUTOCAD, SKETCHUP, and REVIT. The laptop must be around 800 to 1k USD. I will be buying it in Mexico. Maybe some Amazon laptops from the US will be available to ship here, but the prize will rise. Preferably a 15´ inch laptop, and no touchscreen is needed.
  6. I haven´t heard about it in the videos so far, but why Linus doesn´t film in 60FPS? They being a tech channel should now about quality improvement. Not to compare, but Gamers Nexus does it. What you would prefer 4K 30fps or 2K 60FPS? I will definitively go for the second.
