  1. I did the gpus bios thing too, but didn't work. Thanks for your replies! Can you guys suggest me a good (and cheap) video card? Or should I stick with the 760 since it's really affordable?
  2. Hello, how are you, people? I came here looking for help since my Nvidia 760 GTX decided to commit suicide. Or at least that's what I think. Let me explain to you the entire problem. (Please, be patient) You see, a few days ago I was playing Overwatch and the PC just turned off. At the moment it didn't occur to me it was due to an overheating issue. I thought that I had a problem with the energy, or something like that (it usually fails a lot here, in my country). So I kept playing. (I know, I was stupid, I should've checked for hardware problems before doing so...). Anyway, I don't quite remember if it was the same day or the next day, but the point is that this time the screen went black. I had to hard reset. When the PC decided to turn on, the Driver configuration was gone. I had to reinstall everything, download a newer driver, and it worked just fine... until I came back to Overwatch. A few seconds in the main screen I got an error saying something like "rendering device lost" and I was like "Whaaat?" and I blamed the newer drivers. It's not the first time a newer driver gives me problems with video cards. So I uninstalled that one and installed an older version I knew it worked perfectly. Round 2: PC working fine. Everything is shiny, I try to play Overwatch and... "rendering device lost" ... So I knew that something was really wrong. But in this scenario I blamed Overwatch. And I tried to play a different game. The game was running smooth, no artifacts, no nothing, but suddenly I got a hard sluthering and I thought "Oh, shit! My card must be dying!" and I opened my case and touched the card, but it wasn't hot! I closed the game, and my surprise was to find out that my entire PC was slow as hell. Like if the processor was using the 100% all the time, but it wasn't... I checked, and it had a few spikes, but not 100% all the time. Anyway, I tried to play a video in a classic media player, opened YouTube, and the PC gave me another black screen. So, again, I check my card temperature and nothing... Was fine. All fans working peachy and everything. But my surprise was that once I managed to reboot, the drivers were gone... AGAIN. But this time I had my drivers ready (Oh, no baby, no more waitings...). But this time even thou the drivers installed without any issue when I had to reboot the system didn't recognize them, or something... Was like if they weren't installed. They were there, but they were sleeping. Don't know how else explain that. So I tried many things... DDU Method. Bios Method. Disable/enable Method. Uninstall and change driver Method. And finally, I noticed something weird... In the Device Manager, the 760 GTX was with the yellow icon, and saying the famous error "43". And I concluded my card was half dead. Half because it stills gives me a screen image, but is not grabbing the drivers... So finally I decided to grab an older video card, installed that card, and it worked perfectly. No issues so far. And I said to myself "Well, could be something with the registry... Let me check" And I took the goddam card with me to my father's studio, I unplugged his card, plugged mine, installed the drivers and... Same error, yellow icon, error 43 "Windows has stopped the device because it's reporting problems" or something like that. So... Am I right to assume there's nothing to do except buy a new card? Or is there any solution/repair to my poor baby? Thanks in advance!
