  1. Hmm interesting, I'm leaning towards the rtx combo as well.
  2. It's the same model from my previous post, Helios 300 being i5 + rtx and Lenovo y540 being i7 + gtx
  3. My bad, I play mostly triple A titles like battlefield, mhw, gta v
  4. Why tho, I'm afraid i5 wouldn't run well for games that uses multi cores eg fps, mmo games
  5. i5 9300h + RTX 2060 or i7 9750h + GTX 1660 TI? For programming + heavy gaming
  6. I'm an IT student myself, so for work stuff I mostly use my laptop for programming exclusively, so an i5 wouldn't bother me much. What I'm more concerned is whether the i5 9300h that comes with Helios 300 will bottleneck the rtx 2060.
  7. One more thing to note is that the Lenovo laptop is imported, hence only a six month local supplier warranty.
  8. Ay, am a fellow Malaysia as well. Budget is anything below rm5000, usage is mostly for gaming + for study. Weight and battery doesn't really bothers me. I have my eyes on these two laptop for quite some time, all that's left is to pick one of the two.
  9. Ye, I had bad experience with Acer laptops myself. But I heard nothing but high praise for Helios 300, don't mind giving them a second chance.
  10. I'm planning to buy one of these two laptop, but I'm not sure which one should I go with. Price difference is roughly $500(local currency), with Lenovo y540 being the cheaper of the two. The specs of both laptop are as follows: Lenovo Y540 https://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/Lenovo Laptops/Lenovo_Legion_Y54015IRH?M=81SX000KUS Acer Predator Helios 300 Intel Core i5-9300H processor (2.4 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 4.1 GHz, DDR4) 8GB DDR4 RAM (8GB x 1, upgradable to 16GB DDR4 x 2) 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 with 6 GB of dedicated GDDR6 15.6" IPS technology, Full HD 1920 x 1080, high-brightness (300 nits) supporting 144 Hz,3 ms Overdrive Windows 10 Home 64-bit 2-Year Local Onsite Warranty +Accidental Damage / Theft
