  1. Hi guys, that worked perfectly, thanks a lot! I bought an Athlon 200GE, installed it and got into the BIOS immediately. The installed version was 4207. I downloaded version 5204 from the ASUS site and installed that version. I re-installed the Ryzen CPU again, it booted without any problem. Again, many thanks, especially for telling me the cheapest CPU that runs on the old version.
  2. If I power on the system I don't get any response from it other than the fan starts turning. What's the problem with the BIOS that keeps the system from doing anything?
  3. No, would a Ryzen 3 2200g be OK? My local online shop has such a CPU listed for an acceptable price.
  4. Which CPU(s) would work for that update? Is the update necessary for the CPU to work or is it just for the GPU? If have a graphic card available if necessary.
  5. No, I just have two Ryzen 3 3200g but both don't work. The ASUS website says that the board should work with this CPU. Do you have other information?
  6. Tell me how to do that if I don't get to the BIOS. I don't get any response from the system, so I think a BIOS update is not possible.
  7. I tried with a second power supply which both work in an other machine, same result. I removed the board from the case and have it on its packaging box, so there should be no possibility of shorting. I didn't find any source of shorting in the case either. The power button doesn't seem to stick. If I push it, the fan turns and continue to do so. If I later push the button for 4 seconds the fan stops (as I would expect). So in my opinion the button works as intended.
  8. I bought the following components to upgrade two of my systems: Asus PRIME X470-PRO (motherboard) AMD Ryzen 3 3200g 3.6GHz AM4 (CPU) Corsair Vengeance LPX Black DDR4 2666MHz 2x8GB (RAM) I seated the CPU and installed the included CPU fan. The RAM got into slots B2 and A2 (as the manual suggests). I connected a not completely new 500W power supply into the two onboard power connectors and the front panel stuff of an older ATX case to their corresponding header. After switching on the power on the power supply, the boards RGB LEDs started glowing. A push onto the power button started the fan and a few moments later I hear a slight click. But that's all I get from the system. No POST beep, no BIOS screen, no other reaction. I though to have received a dead-on-arrival component. As I bought all components twice I replaced every part one after the other but to no success. I also tried to add just one component after the other to maybe get a beep error code but no beep at all with any component combination on the board (also tried to have just one RAM in the slot and swapped it to possibly locate a bad slot. Nothing worked. I removed the RTC battery for 15 minutes and replaced it again but that changed nothing. I'm out of ideas now. All my investigations resulted in a correct combination of the components (the ASUS website explicitly mentions the CPU and RAM as compatible). What else should I try? Is there a glowing pattern of the LEDs that tells what's going wrong? Thanks for any hint!
