  1. I actually did do a mod on it a lot more recently, but then it basically became a new PC. What I did was buy a new mobo, case, ram, and cpu. I think it was around only $300 because I didn’t need to buy a graphics card. The only thing still leftover from the XPS is a hard drive, which was still good and saves $100 from a Windows installation. 2. What year is it from? I did a simple upgrade and case mod on one a few years ago. Basically all that I did was upgrade the graphics card to a gtx 1050. You could probably get a better graphics card though if you have the budget to. A very high end card might be a bottleneck though because it only has 8gb of ram and a 4th generation i7. (Which my old one did) It could run games pretty well, for example it should do games like overwatch around 60fps if you had the same one that I had. It definitely couldn’t run more graphics demanding games like Modern Warfare or anything, but it was still a solid computer for less graphics demanding games.
  3. I also would like to get somebody’s thoughts on this thing, because it looks like it can control fans and rgb strips. It also connects to a usb I think, so I wouldn’t need a 3-pin header. Only problem is that it is so expensive. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1437097-REG/asus_rog_aura_terminal_republic_of_gamers_aura.html/?ap=y&gclid=Cj0KCQjw09HzBRDrARIsAG60GP_agSnS2_ESFzg66msSk-m-M0v2QuXIGjZ_Vo3NlYBACamjh31JK_8aAqjxEALw_wcB&lsft=BI%3A514&smp=y
  4. That is basically what I need, but it would be a pain to get to and I would need to buy 3. Will consider it though!
  5. Thanks for the quick reply! The only problem with things like the digital controller hub is I can’t control it through my motherboard because I only have 4-pin headers.
  6. Hello all, I am looking for a good, mid priced rgb/fan hub that I can use to connect 3 - 5 Cooler Master ARGB fans. (Will include link) I also would like to control a Phanteks Neon RGB strip. The reason why I am asking this on a forum is because my motherboard is an Asus ROG Strix B450-F. It only has 2 4-pin headers, which won’t work with an addressable RGB strip or fan header. I used to use the Deepcool 3-pin to 4-pin converter, but I would also love to have the ability to use the rainbow effect because it isn’t supported with 4-pin headers and I cannot use it anymore. (Possibly shorted it out) But anyways, I would like a nice hub to control at least 4 3-pin RGB headers, and possibly be able to control that from a motherboard software like Aura. Sorry if this app is confusing and makes no sense. Thanks! Fans I would use: https://www.newegg.com/cooler-master-r4-120r-20pc-r1-case-fan/p/1YF-0010-000K6
  7. Ok, that is one thing I thought might be wrong, Don’t have a molex cable or anything like that in my psu box, thanks though!
  8. Update: got all of the cables in, and all that it does is prevent the pc from turning on, so I think I might need a molex to pcie if that is even a thing...
  9. So, I found a pcie to molex, and it runs the fans, but not the rgb. I also have found a molex to SATA, but don’t know where to plug the SATA part into. I think it might be the wrong type of connection, because I would need to now buy a SATA to pcie, then plug the SATA to molex into the molex connected to the hub.
  10. I just bought a six fan pack from Asiahorse, and I have them all screwed in, I just don’t know where to plug the power for the fan hub. I have an adapter from my semi modular psu, but it looks like it goes into the motherboard. I think I might have to buy a PCI-E to molex, but I’m not sure.
  11. Tried another keyboard, still didn't work. I figured that it would be something with the g hub software, but apparently not.
  12. My windows button is not working, I have tried all the solutions I have seen. The button works if I click on it with my mouse, but the button on my keyboard doesn't work. I know it isn't my keyboard because both windows buttons don't work. No idea what to do now. Thanks!
  13. So, I use a Wraith Prism on an Asus ROG B450-F, and the outer ring wont work with aura sync. I have tried plugging in a cable from the bottom of the fan to rgb header 2, which made the center fan work with aura, but the outer ring just changes colors slowly.
  14. Okay, but I am planning on buying some new fans for everything on the PC, and a new CPU Cooler and the only way I can control the stock fans is on the case. I tried ICue but it didn’t work, but if I got new fans I could control them through ICue?
