  1. I rechecked and I got the wrong monitor. The correct one is: 24GN60R-B which is an IPS panel, not TN. Which adds to the mystery even more. For now I think I'll just avoid anything I can't run with V-sync enabled, as I've done as much as I can do for now. Maybe i'll upgrade to a more capable monitor in the future and it'll get fixed
  2. I can confirm that the VRR is working. I figured out how to view real-time refresh rate and it is changing for my fps, so it is compatible. The TN panel is a whole other story, can you explain what that means?
  3. The absolutely only thing that I can think of is that it's not technically G-Sync certified. Even on NVIDIA control panel it says it, but to my knowledge and from what I've been looking at the past couple days that it does not matter, you just click the box anyways and it should go through. However, I'd like to rule out everything else before I go get a G-Sync certified monitor. But I don't think that this is the case
  4. LG Ultragear 24GL600F-B. 144hz 1080p 24". That's why I'm so confused; I have tried so many combinations and it's just not picking up.
  5. If it helps, currently I am running 190+ FPS on Modern Warfare 2, and even then it still does not look as smooth as vsync. I understand that it never will, but shouldn't g-sync be picking up most of the slack? It looks no different than when I put it on my 60hz cheapy side monitor. If it's an issue with g-sync, can i verify it's working?
  6. I'm open to absolutely all suggestions. Here's my issue: I have always played with Vsync as my pc has been able to keep up with the framerate. For reference, I currently run at 144hz. However, some games are not able to be played at 144 fps, which makes the game extremely unplayble as it jerks around. Because of this, I've tried messing with VRR and see how that adds up. However, no matter what configuration I run, my games never look smooth at all and I cannot play unless I'm at 144 fps. To add on top of this, when I change the monitor back down to 75 hz, it's the same issue and completely unplayable. It's very choppy and feels sluggish. I have: - Turned off Vsync, turned on fast vsync - Ensured all apps are on high performance mode, as well as overclocked CPU and GPU is automatically overclocked. - Updated drivers - Installed monitor drivers - Messed with RTSS setting FPS limits and scanline - Ensured I had a DP cable for my monitor I am running an RTX 3070 Ventus OC w/ Ryzen 7 5700X. A full spec sheet can be given, but I have M.2 NVME storage for all of my games. No matter what I do, the game never looks playable without Vsync. Any suggestions?
  7. Thank you! Do you happen to know about the Ryzen 3000 BIOS update? I know the B405M gaming pro does have BIOs Flashback, however I have absolutely NO idea how to do the bios update. However, I know the Tomahawk comes with the 3000 update already on it, but it's also around $30 more expensive. I don't really see any other difference between the two motherboards, do you think it would be worth just getting rid of the hassle or is there really no hassle at all to upgrade?
  8. Do you see anything else on this build I could improve / minimize for price?

  10. Could I get away w/ changing the 960 gb to a cheaper 500? I dont' really know how much memory I need, I only play like 4 of 5 games.

  12. I am currently building a PC and I need some suggestions for storage. I want to have 1TB and have the SSD be NVMe. Currently, I am leaning towards an Intel 660p M.2-2280 NVMe SSD, but is it worth it to go up the price point to get a Samsung 960 EVO or even a WD Black (Both 1TB). 13. Oh I apologize, I read your initial statement wrong. I for some reason thought it was "most" Max versions have the updated BIOS. Thank you!!!
