  1. I need a new PC for 1500 ish euros. I live in Spain. I will use it for gaming at 1440P at 60FPS min, at Ultra when possible, very high at minimum, and some productivity tasks. I also want RTX even if I need to lower the settings. Is there anything bottlenecking anything or anything too overkill? I also thinking in getting the GPU in the secondhand market, which is better? get a secondhand 3060Ti and upgrade other part or get a better GPU for the same price? CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8 GHz 8-Core Processor (€283.41 @ Amazon Espana) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S 82.52 CFM CPU Cooler (€89.90 @ PC Componentes) Motherboard: Gigabyte X570S AORUS ELITE AX ATX AM4 Motherboard (€271.66 @ PC Componentes) Memory: Kingston FURY Beast 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL17 Memory (€73.80 @ Neobyte) Storage: Kingston NV2 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (€87.93 @ Amazon Espana) Video Card: MSI VENTUS 2X OC GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB Video Card (€529.00) Case: MSI MAG FORGE 112R ATX Mid Tower Case (€73.98 @ PC Componentes) Power Supply: Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 PE 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (€99.99 @ Amazon Espana) Total: €1509.67 I selected AMD instead a i5 12600KF, because it is cheaper and I don't think I would benefit from the difference
  2. What would I need then? If I want Raytracing, at what settings will i be able to play at max? raytracing apart, i still need help with the CPU and MB.
  3. Budget: 1500 -1600 € Country: Spain Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games with raytracing, Horizon zero down and ciberpunk at ultra specs My old Pc has reached its limit and won't launch horizon zero down. (Gtx 750 TI) I'm a total noob in pc parts and what is good or not. I'm investigating to make a new pc for 1500ish euros. My idea is to play at 60 fps at 1440P, no plans for 4k in the future I will use it to play games mostly, no content creation whatsoever. I'm planning to buy a 1440P 165Hz display in addition to the 1080P that I currently own. I decided to choose a RTX 3060TI since it seems to be in the right spot for resolution/fps/budget (any input on this will be apreciated) I would also want to use VR but is not a priority. I decided for a 650W plus gold Power supply since some prebuilds I saw uses similar PS. 16GB of DDR4 ram, probably at 3600 MHz. I heard it is good if MHz is high and DDR5 is too expensive and not sure if it is worth the extra expense Then I have to choose the cpu and here I'm completely lost: Should I choose a i5 or an i7? At which GHz? What are eficient cores and why are they important? is AMD a big difference in usage? ( I've used intel all my life) 11th or 12th gen? Is it worth the extra cost? I will use it to play games mostly, no content creation whatsoever. Since the cpu affects the motherboard and cooling, there I need help too. For MB I need maybe 4 USBs, USB3 and C will be nice to have. 600Mb/s internet and whatever is needed to not bottleneck anything. Also M2 ports as im planning to add 1Gb of those fancy Mvme things. For cpu cooling, is better a cheap branded liquid cooling kit or a fancy noctua air cooler? I'm guessing here that a cheap liquid and a good air coller might be in the same price range. also: I found this prebuild for 1575 €, but I'm concerned about the PS not being modular and only 80+ certificated, plus the case doesn't have front airflow. is it worth to buy it and don't have to build it myself or pay someone to do it? Case: Cougar Dark Blader X7 Black con Cristal Templado PS: Cooler Master MWE 700 White 230V - V2 CPU: AMD RYZEN 7 5800X 4.7GHz 36MB 8 CORE cooler: RAIJINTEK EOS 240 RBW (Sistema de refrigeración líquida todo en uno Negro) MB: MSI X570 PRO CARBON WIFI Storage: Kingston SNV2S/1000G NV2 SSD 1TB PCIe NVMe Gen 4.0 2TB HDD RAM: KINGSTON HYPERX RGB DDR4 32GB 4X8GB 3200MHZ GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GAMING Z TRIO LHR 8GB GDDR6 Thank you a lot!!!
  4. My monitor is Samsung C27F390FHUXEN, nothing gamer, bought it for university mainly. would it be necesarry to upgrade it? I also have a 6 year old LG 24" IPS TV so it doesnt count as monitor, but the main one is the samsung one. about chipset, i don't know the differences between ryzen and intel the one that has best price/performance relation But would it be enough to keep with that demands? or the CPU in this case is not that relevant (remember, 100% noob xD) as for GPU the same, not compromised with any manufacturer, just want the more juice to the money. In the game forum they told me that i wull have to sustain 90 FPS for the VR (45 in each eye) Will a 8 Gb GPU will be able to maintain 90, or preferably 120 FPS in VR? With my current set up, if i upgrade the GPU only, there will not be any bottleneck then?
  5. Hello, First of all, i looke into all subforums and i think this is the better one for my request, if you think this should be in another subforum, please let me know. My situation is this: 5 years ago I Purchased this personalized PC: Mother board: Asus Z77-A CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5Ghz Box RAM: G.Skill Trident X DDR3 2400 PC3-19200 16GB 2x8GB CL10 GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 750 Ti OC 2GB GDDR5 case : Zalman Z11 Plus Azul Power supply: Tacens Valeo V 700W 80 Plus Silver Modular HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB SATA3 optic drive: Samsung SH-224DB Grabadora DVD 24x OEM Total cost in 2014: 900€, aprox 1000 $ ( I later added this 750 GB SSD: Crucial MX300 CT750MX300SSD1) I need to update my PC, or at least my graphic card to play more demanding and VR games, I would like to play games, in very high qualitty, and ultra for the lesser demanding ones. But my primal goal is to play VR ( thiking in purchase some Oculus rift or HTC vive). The main use I want to give them is: Playing Elite dangerous game at 60 FPS and qualty between very high and Ultra, the only reason I want to upgrade my PC. any other space ship simulator, playing VR experinces in general I would like to be able to play it at leats with 60 FPs and with enough resolution to not blled in the eyes because pixel sizes. I know the VR headset itself matters, so I'll take advice here too. My total budget is between 700€ and 800€ ( 785$ - 900$) With my litte knowledege I think I can keep the Power supply, the case, the HDD, the SSD and the optical drive, not 100% sure about the ram. Tell me if you think otherwise Thnak you in advance for your responses
