  1. I see there's a supposed new release of the max version of the b450 gaming pro carbon. Msi has a product page for this but its not for sale anywhere yet and not sure when the release date will be. Is it worth waiting for the max version or should I just go for the non max?
  2. I'm currently gaming on an i5 4690, not the ryzen 3600 yet. I'm using the stock cooler on that and mostly seems like 55 to 65 while gaming
  3. I see some people saying the stock cooler sucks and others saying if you're not overclocking then the stock cpu cooler is fine. I just plan to mostly game with a 5700xt.
  4. Unfortunately my motherboard doesn't seem to support 3600, only 3200 or 3466.
  5. For a ryzen 3600 and b450 gaming plus max im looking at ram. Would there be noticeable differences in going with something like 3200 cl14 like this: https://www.newegg.com/team-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820313712 over something 3200 cl 16 like: https://www.newegg.com/corsair-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820233859 ? Just wondering if differences are purely benchmark vs real world gaming?
  6. For case ventilation would you just do 3 fans on the side for intake?
  7. I plan to run a ryzen 3600 and sapphire nitro 5700xt.
  8. Seems like this case targets liquid cooled builds but I'm interested in using as air-cooled only. Thoughts?
  9. I've been interested in the Meshify C case for quite sometime. Finally bit the bullet and snagged a sapphire nitro+ 5700xt. After looking again it seems like this card will still fit but just barely. The available space is 315mm and this card is 306mm. I'm still leaning towards this case but wondering if you have any other suggestions that are a great case and might be slightly roomier?
  10. Its my understanding this psu is basically a seasonic gx for less $$
  11. I will primarily be gaming and running at stock (no overclocking)
  12. Does the motherboard and ram look good for my build? Or do you have any other recommendations? 13. Is there any benefit to the gaming pro carbon ac? Besides just the wireless and Bluetooth? I'll have to look into the gaming plus max.
  14. I'm looking for suggestions on a good motherboard for a Ryzen 3600 and a Sapphire Nitro+ 5700 xt. I'm mostly looking to game and do office stuff on my pc. Will probably throw an m.2 drive in as well. Was set on the Tomahawk Max but that appears to be sold out everywhere.
  15. Ok, so I went to pcpartpicker and it comes out to 454 watts. But when I click on the wattage breakdown it seems like the gpu and cpu are underrated. They rate my gpu at 285w, but I've read it can get up to 310w. My cpu is rated for 65w but I think I've read it can get up to 80w. Though I'm not sure I'd reach these limits in real world unless I'm running a torture test. Even with the underestimating this would be less than 550w. So would 550w be ideal in this scenario?
  16. Will a 550w Tier A psu be enough for a Ryzen 3600 and a Sapphire Nitro+ SE 5700 xt? Not planning on overclocking. I'll also have an ssd and maybe an extra hdd.
  17. I honestly haven't looked much into the 5600XT. I have been looking into the 5700XT. I'll have to check it out!
  18. By bottlenecking I mean based on my system and the types of games I play do you think a 1660 ti will fail to deliver high fps in esports games or fail to play other games in high/ultra settings at 1080p?
  19. It costs $285. I was looking at a 5700 xt or 2060 super but saw this card and thought I could save myself over $100, but dont want it to bottleneck me either.
  20. Hey all, looking to get opinions if this would be a good card for me. Looking to build a decent midrange gaming setup. Looking at a Ryzen 3600, Msi Tomahawk Max B450, and 16gb ram. Was looking at the Msi 1660 ti gaming x graphics card. I mostly play esports games (fortnite, cod, apex) and games like gta, resident evil...Mostly looking to get good fps on a 1080p monitor (144hz). Would this card be adequate for my system and games?
  21. So in your opinion what im experiencing isn't necessarily the result of some component bottlenecking or throttling my game?
  22. I'm asking in this forum cause I originally thought the CPU was bottlenecking my FPS. But after describing my system was told that the CPU shouldn't be bottlenecking it.
  23. Is it common if I cap FPS at 144 that I would see intermittent drops, down to as low as 40 or 50 FPS? If I'm seeing this am I seeing some sort of bottleneck? I would say the majority of the time its holding to 130 or 144 FPS but during certain scenes it will, for a split second, drop down as low as 40 or 50 FPS, and then go right back up to 144 FPS. Or should the expected behavior be that if I cap at 144 FPS, it remains constant at 144 FPS at all times?
  24. So I finally tested with HWiNFO and it doesn't look like there's a thermal issue. For example I opened up Fortnite and capped my FPS at 144FPS and then started to play. For the most part the pc keeps up with around 144FPS but in certain busy scenes it'll drop down to as low as ~40 to 60FPS for a split second and but more commonly it'll randomly dip down to 90 or 100FPS. If i go check HWiNFO the max temp I see across all cores is around 60C - 65C. Is it common to get random drops during gameplay? Or should my pc be keeping the FPS around a constant 144FPS at all times?
  25. Thank you for the suggestion! I definitely don't want to spend the extra money if you don't think there's a need to. I'll use this utility to help me troubleshoot any thermal issues.
