  1. I have an old IBM ThinkPad R52 running Windows XP Professional which I have been using as a spare computer. I noticed the hard drive was about to crap out as the laptop was running very slowly and the drive was making some very abnormal clicking sounds. Everything was working up until this point so I used Macrium Reflect to image the drive and bought another hard drive. Shortly after I had done this, the hard drive gave up and fully stopped working. Today I restored the image that I made of the old drive to the new one and the laptop booted up fine but was still running slower than usual. I thought that it would be a good idea to use the IBM Rescue and Recovery environment to restore the computer to its factory settings. I rebooted the PC and used F11 to boot into the recovery environment and it brought up a message which read 'Missing Operating System'. Browsing through the backup, all of the files for the recovery environment are on the hard drive but the computer cannot find them during boot. Please help!!!
