    Hi, I know its been long for anyone following this issue. I went on doing some reading with the thought of purchasing a new router, and I made some self notes about it. I have put it here as a github site link. I would like to ask if the things I noted there are correct or not. And maybe it will be helpful for someone coming to this thread in the future.

    I am regularly at about 5-7meters away from the Router - at that time, there is about a brick wall in between me and the router. But the tests I did was keeping the laptop right beside the router so as to get easy access to the LAN ports in the router. I believe all my neighbours are in the same 2.4Ghz band itself , don't know which channel though. Can we analyse it with any app? Or do we need to go knocking on them? I don't think there are any iot or smart home devices in my neighborhood. But there are about 3-4 wifi hotspots that we could theoretically get interference from. But not consistently though. As we have brick walls, most of the external interference are also very week. On my laptop, where I ran the tests, it uses a Wifi6 compatible card. So I do not think the issue is with that. Also we get the same speeds on testing with other mobile devices from home too. So I have narrowed it down to the router.

    Hi, I have a 100Mbps connection at home and when I do a speed test (Ookla), with lan, I get a reading of 80-90Mbps. But then I use the wifi, which is from a TPLink DIR615, in 2.5Ghz, I get a speed of only 30-50Mbps. (My model does not support 5Ghz and only has 20Mhz and 40Mhz channels). Any suggestions and insights would be welcome.

    _______Update_______ I was thinking of purchasing a new Router and I came accross this thread. I believe this was the issue all along. To be clear - the solution i did above is working fine and that is how I am getting internet right now - by as to why that happend in the first place....... It is still a theory as i am not acting on it, but anyone in future (and me also) encountering this problem, might have a chance to torubleshoot it.

    They have a software for the mouse, which I installed and checked. It doesn't seem to fix this.

    Hi, I have a 'Cosmic Byte Hydra' gaming mouse (They don't seem to be selling this mouse anymore, as I am not able to find it in their website anymore) I did find an amazon.in link for it here. The issue, I believe has been there since the beginning (I only bothered to check now, yes....i know......but) is that - when I press and hold RMB and press ThumbMouseButton(button4), the button4 won't work. If pressed individually all, buttons work fine and all other combinations work fine too!. It is just this single combination that is having this issue. What do you think the issue is? Is there any way to fix this? I'll put a video that showcases the issue for better clarity Mouse Issue.mp4

    Just a random question. As far as i know, there isn't but.....is there a way for me to repair it? I have got most of the important stuff off it. So If i can repair it and continue using, it would be great.

    I have updated the problem with the results of the tests. The problem seems to be of the HDD from the results, neither of the Laptop, nor of the cable.

    As i mentioned, i have been encountering this problem from yesterday only, until then, i was able to do everything just fine. The speeds were a but low, and i had some stutters form some time, but yesterday, it almost stopped working completely - the READ part at least. WRITE is working OK (for now)

    I have a 2TB external HDD by Toshiba. Amazon Link of product I have been using it for about 4 years. O never used it much, just for occasional storage of stuff. I once tried to play warzone through it, as my lap only has a 250gb SSD (this may/may not help in diagnosing the problem) Anyway, from yesterday onwards, I cannot essentially copy anything FROM the drive. It bursts for some moment but then essentially dies down.(Image 1) But I am able to copy anything and everything INTO the drive at almost decent speeds, still it dies down for a second and raise backup immediately, unlike the READ speeds I looked in task manager, but nothing major is running that can potentially cause this, but even at this point, the drive usage is full, but there is ZERO I/Ops For reference, this drive had consistent speeds for read and write of about 80-100Mbps during the initial days. Here are the other resource usages, if it helps The solutions I have tried: 1. Excluded the dive from Windows Defender antivirus 2. Formatted the entire drive ones, still this is the state Any advice would be welcome. _____________EDITS and UPDATE_______________ This is what shows when my transfer fails completely I have another External HDD also by Toshiba Amazon link of that drive, I'll try some tests with that to to rule out is the issue is with 1. cable 2. Laptop 3. Hdd itself : I'll update the results here. ______RESULTS___________ 1. cable : Swapped the cable, still has the problem 2. laptop : Transferred files to and from the second HDD with 100+Mbps speed - so not the problem of laptop or ports 3. Hdd itself : So the problem rules down to the Hdd itself. Any suggestions will be welcome.

    HI, the 2 people following this topic. I forgot to update anything regarding this - I apologize. I corrected the issue after a couple of days after posting this, thank you all for the input @Alex Atkin UK, @Bombastinator. My solution - The DNS server on my router was set to my modem's IP address. I changed it to Google's DNS and then on, it worked fine. I guess the issue as out might have been with the modem Itself from how the solution worked. The DNS allocation to the router from the modem might have broken when my ISP updated and gave it. I didn't bother wasting my time shouting at them, as I guess it is such a rare thing to happen (as I have not found any solutions online about such a problem happening before). So anyone coming here in the future regarding this, change the DNS provider in your router from the your modem's IP to the Google DNS (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1, 1.0.0.1) . It might work.

    Hi, yesterday my modem was taken by my isp to change the account binded to it to a new account that I made On returning, I saw that many of the devices in my hopuse are not getting internet from the router even if it is connected and I can even login to the router settings - but no internet. I left it as I thought it will be over when the DHCP resets itself. Today when I woke up the problem still exists and when I went further looking, I found this The NTP config was disabled and the time was 1970?! I enabled it and when applied, it didn't change anything, it is still showing 1970 and not updating!! On further looking I found that the modem ( which my ISP reset) was also having the same issue and was locked to 1970 January. I tried to manually change the date by adding NTP servers, but it still resets to Jan 1970 and not budging from that. Now these are my questions. 1. Can only my ISP change the modem time? 2. Are my router times affected due to this modem time? if not why is it not changing when I change it? 3. Are my device connection issues due to this time discrepancy? 4. If i tell the ISP to come are reset the time, will the devices be start working fine?

    I want to install Aim-labs (6gb). I have about 33gb free disk space. But steam is not installing saying I don't have enough disk space. What should I do?(other than deleting files). Is there any way to bypass this problem?

    I need to transfer the blocks and position of them from one drawing to another. When i just ctrl+c & ctrl+v, it appears in the new drawing, able to save, but when i close and reopens the file, some blocks vanish entirely. I am attaching some screenshots if that may clarify the problem. In the screenshot you can see the circular block is not there in the new drawing even after copying it. It vanished itself when I reopened the drawing. So is there a method to transfer the entire blocks from Old to New Drawing?

    So i made this change file_path = os.path.dirname(os.path.realpath(os.getcwd())) Is this right? Its executing in the previous folder to the folder in which my .py file is present. And still doesn't work with double click
