oh so i just found something weird, I plug my laptop into the same adapter and it works just fine, I'm so confused

I mean I have had the adapter for a few years so I guess that makes sense?

Hey guys, so I've been having an issue with my newly built PC it's a ryzen 1600, asrock b450, 16 gb 3000mhz, and a vega 56. I have yet to upgrade my monitor ( I'm intending on doing soon ). My current monitor is an old 1440 x 900 acer monitor, it's only got VGA and dvi so I have to use a vga to hdmi adapter ( not sure if that's got anything to do with it). But my problem is that sometimes after restarting my PC my monitor straight up just doesn't recognize that it's plugged into my PC, it's incredibly infuriating, help is very appreciated!

Also is this build good in general? Aside from the psu?

oh, Like the rating? It is only rated 80+ White I was recommended this psu by a friend and was told evga is a decent brand to buy from

or maybe I could just wait on installing my rx vega 56 and just use my gt 1030 till I get that psu

hmmm...my GPU isn't coming till Saturday and I could buy a psu on Thursday, I was planning on upgrading my psu anyway. I wouldn't do any overclocking till I get one with higher wattage.
