I have the corsair carbide air 540. It looks like there is plenty of airflow. My cpu is running at stock speeds. I'll try messing with the voltages a bit.

Yea increasing the fan speed made it loud and didn't really change temps. I have Corsair link downloaded and I'll look into iCue and try turning the case.

I reinstalled the paste a few days ago. Installed the cooler itself like a year ago.

Yea it should be at least. Put a pea sized dot in the middle of the cpu the last time I reinstalled the paste

Pretty sure. Its been awhile since I've installed it but I'm pretty sure I stuck with the Intel instructions.

My cpu temps are very spiky. At stock speeds my cpu on aida 64 stress test (everything stressed) maxes out around the upper 80s or mid to lower 90s. Even while opening basic tasks such as chrome the cpu has a very noticeable temperature spike. I've tried reapplying thermal paste multiple times and the results haven't really changed. Any tips or help would be appreciated. My Specs: Intel i7 7700k Asus z270E Corsair H115i Gtx 1060 16 Gig ram 3200
