  1. Thank you for your replies. I will see all the links through you've helped me.
  2. Hi, I know this question is asked a lot, but I do need your help. I am not experienced in monitors and a friend of mine aksed me which monitor he should get. What he wants is: 144 Hz 1080p No 27in monitor (24in is enough) Under 250$ I would really appreciate it if you could help me out. Thank you in advance.
  3. Hmm looks pretty decent to me tho. I guess you're playing on a 144Hz monitor or even more otherwise it wouldn't be worth upgrading cpu nor gpu from my point of view. AMD does have its comeback in overall performance, but buying new mobo and cpu I don't think it would be worth it. Imo your CPU is still good as your graphics card. But if you really wanted to have more fps then it depends. If you can get a 1080Ti that would be good since it's still very good in its performance. If you can't get one, but you have a good amount of money to spend you should go atleast with a rtx 2070 or 2080 (if you can afford it). Otherwise the 5700xt is a really good card for price per performance. It is cheaper than a 2070(S), but is in many games even with a 2070S. But if your main point is more a allround-system then you can choose the parts SavageNeo stated. I am no expert in any means so wait for more comments.
  4. It depends. First you should share more information about your whole system and what you want to play, at which settings, which framerate, resolution etc... If you want to play games with a higher framerate and better settings then definitely go for the gpu. Otherwise your cpu is still ok to game on. If you aren't on a tight budget then I would recommend either one of the rtx-cards from nvidia or the 5700-series from amd. If you want a good card about 380-400$+ amd would be a good choice. But if you want to have raytracing and future coming stuff then maybe a rtx 2060 super or 2070 super (500$+) could be your choice. Everything lower than rtx I would recommend 1660 ti since it is a really good price for performance or a good amd rx 580 8GB for about 200$+. But wait for more comments. My experience is still low.
  5. Thank you for your replies. So I guess my current cpu is okayish to handle the games. So the focus is now on a new gpu (aswell as a better psu). I guess I'll figure out later which gpu I am going to choose. Right now my monitor can only delive 1920x1080, but I think the gpu upgrade should come first anyway. I kinda guessed that Ryzen 5 3600 is recommended. Luckily I haven't a tight budget so I think later (after a new gpu) it will be the Ryzen 5 3600. I actually wouldn't go with the X-version of it. I mean yes it gives me some stock-MHz more, but I can counter that with overclocking the normal 3600 (also I don't need the stock cooler since I've got one from noctua anyways). Your replies helped me quite a lot to figure out what to buy first. Thank you very much.
  6. Hello folks, First of all here are my PC-specs: Mobo: Asrock AB350m (not the pro version!) PSU: Xilence Performance 430W 80+ Bronze CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1500X (OC at 3.9 GHz) GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (from Gainward) RAM: Crucial Ballistix 16GB 2400 MHz (2x8) HDD: 1TB WD Blue 5400 rpm (for games etc) SSD: Intel SSD 600p 128GB, M.2 Case: Sharkoon VG5-W CPU-Cooler: Noctua U12S SE AM4 I've connected two monitors and one TV. My main monitor is a Samsung Curved Monitor C27FG73 with 144 Hz Full-HD and AMD-Freesync and my secondary a Benq (don't know the model number) with 60 Hz. My TV is a Toshiba from around 5-6 years ago. I play mostly: League of Legends GTA V Battlefield V NieR: Automata Satisfactory I wanted to update my gaming rig a bit to be able to play near to 144 fps with medium to high graphic settings. Right now I get about 100-144 fps on high settings in league and 55 to 80 fps in GTA V on high settings. My fps are dropping mostly in nier at high settings to 40 fps and a maximum fps of 60. I actually don't know what to upgrade first. I thought on upgrading the CPU first. There I'd like to stick with AMD's Ryzen processors since they are in my opinion the best price for performance-deal. I searched a bit and compared many times the Ryzen 7 2700X with the new Ryzen 5 3600(X). In most cases the Ryzen 5 3600 outperforms the Ryzen 7 2700X, but only for 5-6%. In my country (germany) the Ryzen 7 2700X costs about 160-170€ (176-187 USD) and the Ryzen 5 3600 costs only 30€ more. Would the new Ryzen 5 be worth that extra 30€? I guess yes, but would it be worth for what I want to play? I don't know. Or is it worth waiting for Ryzen Zen 3 aka Ryzen 4 Gen? What's your opinion? Secondly I thought about upgrading the gpu. I don't want to spend so much money on a 2080 (which would also be kinda overkill for my needs) so I decided to stick either to a 2070(S) or AMD RX 5700xt. Most benchmarks I've seen comparing the 2070S with the RX 5700xt are sometimes even, sometimes the rx 5700xt is better and sometimes the 2070S. I actually don't carre about raytracing and since I have an AMD-Freesync Monitor it would be better to get a 5700xt. At the moment most 5700xt cards are at 400€+ (440 USD) and most 2070(S) at 500€+ (550 USD). What would you prefer? I mean a 2070 maybe is more worth in the future, but at the moment a 5700xt is 100€ less and has quite the same performance as the 2070(S). So let's assume I would have a Ryzen 3600X CPU and a RTX 2070S would my psu withstand this? Or do I have to get a new psu aswell? For the mainboard I would go for a b450 from msi since they support ryzen 3gen out of the box (if I would go with the 3600). TLDR: What would you upgrade first? Which better component would you pick? (Your thoughts on Ryzen 7 2700X VS Ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 2070(S) VS RX 5700xt) Thank you in advance!
  7. I doubt that. The Ryzen 5 3600 is a new model like the 5700xt. I have a rig from 1 1/2 years ago with a Ryzen 5 1500x and a 1060 6GB and get 70fps+ on high settings. I am no expert and I can't help that much but maybe your new drivers are bad? I mean it sometimes happens that newer drivers are performing worse than older ones. I am assuming you're using Windows 10? Maybe something's wrong with windows itself. Tried updating it? Maybe the Mainboard is at fault, but I don't know exactly.
  8. Yes this might be the last idea to do. But actually it doesn't bother me now anymore. I mean its behaviour is kinda weird and new to me, but if I want to get a new CPU i just stick to buying a new motherboard. But thank you for your help I appreciate it. Fortunately I havent't found any bent pins. Otherwise it wouldn't have fit into the socket again. But I wouldn't doubt that something physical might be affecting the strange behaviour when starting my pc.
  9. Well the one I said. No Pro-version just the normal one: https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/AB350M/index.asp#Memory I did. Here the description for the version 5.40: I successfully installed the newest version of "AMD all in 1 with VGA driver". My BIOS version is currently 3.20 It does meet all the requirements needed, but my BIOS isn't detecting a new BIOS when I want to flash it. I also tested different USB-Sticks but no luck. As for the BIOS version of 4.50 these are the requirements: But as I stated above, the problem is that my BIOS is reverting itself automatically after a successful installation and booting into Windows and then back into the BIOS.
  10. Hi there. So recently there are two things buzzing me quite a lot. First thing: Some time ago (like a month or so) I decided on getting a new processor (haven't done it yet). Currently I am using a Ryzen 5 1500X and I want to stick with Ryzen. My Motherboard is an Asrock ab350m. My BIOS is currently on version 3.20 and their newest version is 5.60. For the third gen ryzen processors I need atleast the version 5.40. So I thought to myself "well gotta upgrade the BIOS". I downloaded it onto an USB-Stick and wanted to flash my BIOS which strangely enough didn't work. My current BIOS (UEFI) told me that it didn't find any compatible BIOS version. So I redownloaded the same file and the same happened. Even after trying to download it from the inbuild download-manager (in the BIOS) it tells me that my BIOS was the latest version. After that I had given up. I tried another version (4.50). This actually has been installed and after saving the BIOS and loading again into it the BIOS (UEFI) was on version 4.50. But then after I restarted Windows to boot into the BIOS again it reverted back to version 3.20. So I can you explain me why in first place the driver 5.40 could not have been installed on my system and in second can you explain me why BIOS automatically reverted itself from 4.50 back to 3.20? And for my second problem: After deciding not getting a new cpu I got a new cpu-cooler from noctua (btw I really love it). After some OCing of the CPU and graphics card I tested my Computer over the night with prime95 with no crashes whatsoever. But now after some weeks my PC isn't POSTing at all. I mean my fans start spinning but neither my graphics card nor my SSD (with windows) is detected and my PC won't boot. After pressing like 4-5 times on the on/off-button my pc magically turns on like nothing has happened. Could this be the cause of OCing? I set it again to default settings but then it also does the same thing, that it doesn't start after pressing the power button. PS: after deinstalling my old boxed fan my CPU stucked on it. With force I pulled my CPU out of the closen socket. Might this be the cause of the malfunction POST? Thank you in advance!
  11. Also a Free- or Gsync monitor isn't that noticeable in performance if you play shooters. I have a ryzen 1500x with a gtx 1060 and I can easily run a 144hz monitor, I'd also prefer the 144hz monitor. The other one would be a waste of precious money.
  12. That's (for me) kinda strange. I also have an 144Hz monitor and the TV duplicates it. But my monitor is still running on 144Hz and my TV is running at 60Hz
  13. I think it's going to be the Dark Rock 4. Thank you for all of your help!
  14. But the price difference can't be just the 2 more heatpipes?
