Thank you for the thorough response and describing difference between the 3 and 4 pin connectors. Will actually use that knowledge in the future when building a PC for my friend soon. I will use that software then. Very glad I don't need a controller. Thank you again you are extremely helpful!

Fans in my case have had RGB for about 2 years now, but I just never cared to plug them in until now. Now that I have plugged them in how do I control the colors? Will I need to buy an RGB controller then download a software? If not, how would I go about controlling the RGB? Just don't want to waste money if I don't have to. The fans are 2 of Scythe's Kaze Flex 140 MM and one 120 MM versions and all have a 4 pin connector *for the RGB. Motherboard: X570 AROUS Elite ( 2x 4 pin RGB connectors and 2x 3 pin). Thank you to anyone who replies for the help. Useless infromation if anyone is curious why I had RGB fans if I never used the RGB: Upgraded my case fans about a year ago to the Scythe Kaze Flex fans since they seemed amazing to me in terms of thermal performance and noise level after looking at lots of reviews. Only ones in stock at the time were RGB ones so I didn't mind, just desperately needed better and quieter fans. Never plugged the RGB in until now.

I'm going to be buying an AORUS NVMe m.2 SSD soon, and don't know a reliable way to clone my OS and everything on it to it to the new SSD. When I switched to a Samsung SSD, I just used Samsung Magician, but don't know if Gigabyte has anything like that. I found their "SSD Toolbox", but there's no description on it and I can't find any description of it online. Just wondering if anyone knows the best way to do this. Thanks in advance!

Yeah I get the PSU, memory, and hard drive; should lower those for sure. But honestly if something like a CPU is used I'm not gonna expect it to cost over $100 less of the selling price for new ones. It's just as good, but no warranty. With that said I'll take your advice and post high and lower it if it doesn't catch any attention. I'll just see how that goes, thank you!

if theres nothing it attaches to then, yeah, like he said you should be fine if you just glue it back where it was and make sure all the wires are connected

If the entire chip is ripped out try looking where the chip is supposed to be and and if you can reconnect it to anything

I'm upgrading my PC and will be buying some newer RAM. Will there be a problem with running two sticks of DDR4 3200 (2 x 8GB) in dual channel, while also having my two older sticks of DDR4 2400 (2 x 4GB) in the other 2 channels? Sorry if it's a stupid question, I'm obviously pretty uneducated when it comes to computer hardware.

With the X570's advantages, it also has its heating problem that is still trying to be fixed. Would it be safer to just go with an X470 so I don't risk melting a $145+ motherboard just for faster PCI and USB? I'd love to have the more recent IO, but I really am worried the motherboard will get too hot. Not quite sure which one to go with. Edit: Alrighty so I was just being paranoid. I'm not the techy-est person, especially when it comes to RAM, and I'm not sure if my memory is running at it's full speed. I have 4 sticks of DDR4 2400 (4MB each). CPU-Z says they're all running at 1200 MHz, but the max is 2400MHz. Do I need to do some overclocking or am I just missing something.

Probably just shouldn't playing at 4k :o. Just stick with 1440p and you'll have a wonderful experience
