Thanks for the response everyone. So here is the new challenge. After some more thought I realized that a surround solution would not be the best for the room. The seating is pushed against the wall of the room. It's a big U shaped couch situation. The TV is at the opening of the U. So sense I can't get any speakers behind the viewers I think a better solution would be to just have a good center, left, right, and sub. I also am considering the virtual surround solution Linus reviewed but I don't think it would be enough to give everyone a positive experience because of the seating situation. Let me know what you guys think! I'll also attach some pictures.

Hi everyone, I am looking to get the most bang for my buck here. While I am decent at doing my own research I value the opinions of people who have been there and done that. I know I want a 5.1 system that can fill a 8ft ceiling x 24ft(tv wall) x 14ft room. I am looking for a system with HDR(10) pass through, great sub, and good center speaker. My budget is around 400-700 but something that is higher with a strong rec would be appreciated as well. Thanks!
