  1. Okay I decided to search the internet before unplugging my Hard drives and I noticed that this particular chassis' blue light is almost always on! It's a DeepCool Tesseract BF So is this actually considered as a problem at all? I noticed it because it onle ever happened once in the past 8 years... So I got worried what if somethings ruining my system. Images below are examples of this blue light thing on other people's Chassis. (Sorry for the bad quality)
  2. Update: I re-installed the motherboard, Re-connected the front panel connectors (Based on the online manual - this time it booted up normally) but the light is still on. I'm going to unplug my hdds one by one cuz one of them was always faulty. I'll update again.
  3. Before checking it out, I tried inserting the front panel connectors the way it was told on the manual but every time i turned the psu on, For a brief moment the entire system would boot up (without me pressing the power button) and then turned off and nothing happened if i pressed the power. But i watched this youtube video and the guy connected some of the connectors the other way around and it worked for me as well : https://youtu.be/lDZts7kJeaA now What should I do? + Could the chassis' screws be responsible for this? Like are they transferring extra power to mobo? (they are connected through stand offs)
  4. Hey everyone, First time builder here and I guess i might have messed up big time. So I just upgraded my system after 8 or something years but kept some of my old hardware (Like the case or PSU & HDDs) So I have a 700w bronze rating PSU that has been working just fine for the past 8 years, And today after finally setting everything up and installing win11, This Blue light on the front panel of the case just stays on... (Pic below) What's the problem? Is it with my PSU or have I ruined something? SPEC: 12400 RTX 3050 (Bought this 5 month ago) MSI B660 PRO 16GB DDR4 3200MHz 1TB m.2 Aorus SSD Also worth mentioning that I didn't notice this light last night when I was still trying to fix the machine (I installed windows on HDD mistakenly at first) Before fully running it, I had to un-screw the Mobo, re-adjusted the IO Shield (cause of those sticking parts not aligning properly) & reconnected the gpu, However unlike last night, I fell either the gpu doesn't fit in properly or I haven't adjusted the board properly at all. Because of two things: 1.The HDMI cable is too hard to insert into the GPU and 2.I opened Warzone twice and got a quick green screen at first (although very brief) which never occurred to me. I would really appreciate your help as I'm about to panic if anything happens to my system lol. P.S: This is not the POWER ON led light. It's more like that HDD led. P.S2: I just noticed a few small blinks while I was posting this thread. P.S3: Worth mentioning that Out of all the CPU power cables (I guess it was one 8 pins and one 4 pins sitting next to each other at the top left corner) I only connected the 8 pins cuz I didn't have more cables
  5. Thanks to everyone for their responses. So i changed the PSU, SSD, Mobo and GPU with these. Are they fine? (These are the available parts and we cannot wait for shipment since it takes a long time to import these stuff from america) Cooler Master MasterWatt 550 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply Gigabyte B450 AORUS ELITE ATX AM4 Motherboard https://pcpartpicker.com/product/GNMwrH/samsung-pm981-512-gb-m2-2280-solid-state-drive-mzvlb512hajq-00000 Asus DUAL EVO RTX 2070 Super Alternatively i can change that SSD (if it's not good) with a Gigabyte AORUS RGB 512 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive One thing i forgot to mention is that he already has a 1TB hdd (seagate Barracuda) so one SSD (512 or 1TB) would suffice for this entire build EDIT: Sorry guys, i posted this too quick and had to do multiple edits...
  6. Hmm. So you suggest a B450 instead of that X570 i mentioned as well, Correct? Can you suggest a better SSD (1TB is sufficient) Thanks for the PSU suggestion! I think a 500w would be a good choice (kinda want to make some areas of this build future proof) RTX is needed because he likes the effect in general So 2070S is a must for playable FPS... noted. Thanks for the helpful post btw. So it is confirmed. I will definitely change the board to B450. Thanks for the PSU suggestion! Is there any specific model for SSD that you could suggest?
  7. Can we overclock 3600 or other Zen 2 CPUs if we decided to upgrade in a year or two (to 3700x or even 3900x) on a B450 board?
  8. Hey guys, I'm planning to get my brother in to PC gaming. The goal here is Gaming and no streaming will ever happen. Some Apps such as Photoshop and music editing software will be used. Budget is around 1200$ to 1500$ and the actual Case itself does not matter because we already got one. The budget must contain A monitor in it as well. The performance we expect is 60+ FPS for all AAA games at highest graphics preset (specially newer ones) at 1080p. Crazy FPS numbers does not matter that much tho they would be appreciated. Since we are going to play some competitive games such as Siege and Overwatch, High fps numbers are required. No peripherals needed. Here's a list i gathered. I need your advice if any change is needed. CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor Motherboard Asus PRIME X570-P ATX AM4 Motherboard Memory GeIL EVO SPEAR 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory Storage Samsung 860 QVO 1 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive Video Card Asus GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 8 GB Dual EVO OC Video Card Power Supply Cooler Master MWE Gold 750 W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply Monitor MSI Optix G24C 23.6" 1920x1080 144 Hz Monitor One thing to note is that RTX feature is needed. I don't know if 2060 Super would suffice but it's possible to swap it with a 2070 super. Also is it possible to overclock that CPU with it's stock cooler? P.S: At first i was kinda stuck between a 8700k and 9700k but then the lack of HT in the latter and no cooler in both of those got me thinking. I can fix the cooler problem but i don't know how much he would be losing in the future if HT is not available.... (Consider a gaming scenario)
  9. Thanks for your detailed post! I really appreciate it. I will most probably go with this system that you've listed for me. I really like this forum. Everyone helps you patiently and they don't give up. Thanks LTT forums!
  10. Well TBH since i haven't upgraded in ages, I'm still on an old LED TV, Not a monitor... So no, It doesn't have Freesync or Gsync. So you suggest a Monitor upgrade as well? Then i think a 1440p is a logical step up compared to 1080p and since it's a cheaper choice compared to 4k panels, What should i go for?
  11. It may sound a bit weird but were i live 2600 is not available, instead r7 2700x and a normal 2700 is available. Which should i go for based on your suggestion? and the thing is, My monitor is capped at 60hz... and currently i have no plans for a monitor upgrade. But i would still follow any suggestions you guys have.
  12. Sorry for the delay but i wanted to thank everyone who helped me with this. Right now i changed a lot of my original ideas for the upgrade. Based on my new ideas, I ditched 4k or even 1440p display and i want to stick with 1080+60fps, So now i have 3 plans: Plan A Ryzen 9 3900x MSI X570-A PRO ATX G.Skill Aegis 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000Mhz ASUS RX5700-8G Graphics Card Plan B Intel Core i9-9900K ASUS PRIME Z390-P ADATA XPG GAMMIX D10 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2400 ASUS RX5700-8G Graphics Card Plan C Intel Core i5-9600k KingSton HyperX FURY DDR4 16GB 2400MHz CL15 GigaByte Z370P D3 LGA 1151 Motherboard ASUS RX5700-8G Graphics Card Question1: I'm from an older gen i5 processor. 4460 as I've mentioned. It's still working of course but i'm not happy with it generally. Would jumping from this cpu to an i5-9600k be a legit choice? Will i benefit from higher speed in applications usage such as Photoshop, Browsers, Games etc. ? Question 2: Just happened to find a legit store selling a tray i9-9900k 100$ cheaper than the normally sold version (like instead of 500$ it's 400$) With this price, Is there anything i should be aware of while buying such part without the official boxing etc.? Question 3: Is going from GTX 1060 6gb to RX 5700 (non-XT) good? I can go with RTX cards as well. Since i just want to play in 1080p 60fps, i think RTX 2080 or even 2070 can handle the rtx effects while maintaining a high fps, correct? The purpose of this build is to keep my system future proof for at least 5 years (Playing in Ultra settings+60fps) However i don't do any sort of job other than gaming on it. Maybe sometimes i want to fire up photoshop or do some digital art on it. Side note: I don't plan to OC my hardware, So the possibility is out of the window. Also i want to keep my budget below 2000$.
  13. Well, Mostly i play single player games (AC Odyssey, TW3, Watch Dogs etc.) and the only multiplayer i play is R6 Siege. That's why i wanted to favor Resolution actually. By the way i never overclocked anything and to be honest i'm afraid if i screw something up. That's why i didn't consider such thing in my original post. Plus, I sit close to the monitor and right now, 1080p looks pretty fine to me. Don't know how much difference there is when it comes to 1440p or even 4k (lol)
  14. Actually it's possible. It is also possible to wait a couple of months (tops) for it to become available where i live. Thank you very much for your suggestion! It's actually a better deal compared to 9900k. What about Ryzen 7 2700x Tho? Is it good for 4k Gaming? (mixed with a 1080Ti)
  15. I need something to last for a really long time (without bottlenecking at least for the next 5 years) That AMD model is currently not available where i live right now sadly. Can you suggest better stuff?
