  1. I have a Minecraft server for my friends, but I want to open it to the public. I don't want people to connect to my IP address (##.###.###.###), I want people to connect to my domain (mc.therealnxt.com). I went to my DNS settings and added the instructions, but my friends cannot connect to my server with mc.therealnxt.com, only ##.###.###.###. I really need help for setting it up. My domain registrar is GoDaddy. EDIT: THE PROBLEM IS FIXED! I was inputting my internal IP address (starting with 1) instead of my external IP (starting with 6).
  2. I wanted to run a Craft-Bukkit Minecraft server for my friends. I followed the steps mentioned in this article and this article. My router (Bell Home Hub 2000) settings under advanced options had a port forwarding option. I opened ports 25565 on TCP & UDP. When my friends tried to connect, it would time out or give an error (I forget the error). I earlier tried a vanilla server and it didn't work either. My router model is a Home Hub 2000 by Bell. OS is Windows 10 Professional 64-bit edition. Motherboard: MSI H270 GAMING M3 CPU: Intel Core i7;7700 @ 3.60GHz GPU: ASUS Strix GTX 1060 RAM: 16GB Physical Memory Storage: 500GB SSD, 1TB SSD, 2TB HDD (external) PSU: EVGA 750W or 850W BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 2.00 Hopefully it helps!
