So I do some PC jobs on my free time, and i got a FM1 PC that doesn't turn on. Because of the fact that it was used with a 4 pin CPU connector on a 8 pin motherboard for some years, it seemed like it was a PSU failure. So i replaced the PSU with a proper one and the PC turned on, with no POST and shutted down inmediately. After some tinkering, I found out that if I removed the CPU from its socket, the PC didn't automatically shut down but it didn't POST either. So my question is, is the MOBO unable to bring power to the CPU, or is the CPU fried?
