  1. Alright thanks again for the help! I really appreciate it.
  2. One last question tho for sound my display doesn’t have speakers so I’d have to buy either speakers or just use headphones for it to work?
  3. Alright thanks again to both of y’all. I updated all of my drivers and everything. I restarted it twice now. It’s working fine, now I think I’ll begin to actually download stuff.
  4. Ignore what I said I’m slow af I connected my computer to the WiFi with a spare Ethernet cable I found why does my Windows 10 look like that now is my main question honestly
  5. Yeah just asked a friend of mine as well, so I would have to buy it off of amazon right? It wouldn’t matter which one? But regardless I’ll need both the Ethernet cable and the adapter correct?
  6. So I managed to build my pc and everything so far I’ve done alright even tho it took me all morning and last night to do it. I installed windows 10 via usb. However, my Windows 10 looks different and strange, this is my first time installing an OS, I’ve never done it before. Well anyways Im trying to connect to the WiFi and it won’t let me and I try pulling up available networks however this pops up every time I attempt to click it. I’ve been posting and making a lot of threads recently but idk what to do honestly building the pc alone was overwhelming.
  7. It works but it only lets me download the 2018 update, I tried downloading the most current one on the Windows website but it kept saying validating and it was loading for the longest I tried refreshing the page or wtv and let it validate again but same result so should I just download 2018 and then update it later on?
  8. So I have a question as to whether or not I can download the windows 10 installation media on my mac for another device. Would I have to install windows 10 first on my Mac? I don’t have access to another windows os computer.
  9. Connected the 8 pin the 4 pin connector keeps like coming off whenever I connect it Ok nevemind I got both of them to connect to the system now however it still won’t turn on at this point do I assume it’s the psu?
  10. Thanks again and so I connected the 8 cpu pin and the system still didn’t turn on am I missing any other cables or anything?
  11. Alright thanks I’ll install the fan before I turn it on but that’s the only thing that I was missing? And one last question that I didn’t address in my main post my bad was how to install Windows do I download it on a flash drive first and then connect it to the usb?
  12. The one from the psu right?
  13. So I’m in need of help with my first PC build, I’ve bought all of the parts that I have for it, except for the monitor I still have to order that actually. Anyways I just need help to get it working, I’ve watched similar guides on YouTube with the same motherboard or cpu and whatnot to try to see how to get it to work. I’m overwhelmed with the cables honestly as this and I probably screwed up heavily. I’ve installed my ssd, my psu, my motherboard is half bsed, I didn’t put in all of the standoffs because I was having trouble inserting the motherboard into the I/O shield, I did install the ram tho and the cpu except for the stock cooler that comes with it. The installation for that is simple however the screws in it didn’t fit in so I removed it and decided to try to install it again at the end. Also the cpu has thermal paste from me trying to install the stock fan. Well, the hardest thing for me was just connecting the cables into the motherboard, I tried reading the psu and motherboard guide as to what goes where but there were a lot of parts I didn’t recognize and so I just plugged in whatever made sense but there’s obviously errors unless the psu is just dead I doubt it. Anyways here are some pics of my attempt and the parts that I’m using in this build: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Processor $79.89 @ OutletPC Motherboard Gigabyte B450M DS3H Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard $64.89 @ OutletPC Memory G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) DDR4-2400 Memory $36.89 @ OutletPC Storage Western Digital Blue 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $64.89 @ OutletPC Case Fractal Design Focus G ATX Mid Tower Case $49.99 @ Amazon Power Supply EVGA 500 W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply $44.89 @ OutletPC Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $376.44 Mail-in rebates -$35.00 Total $341.44 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-08-08 01:43 EDT-0400
