  1. So no one has any advice around PSU, cooler or anything?
  2. That probably would have been a good idea if i hadn't already purchased RAM & Mobo. Also dont have the room for Server case, for now this is probably going to stored in rumpus room, or if it does go in my room its literally going to have to go on my desk. no closet for me. Kinda regret buying my motherboard like 5 days ago.
  3. So the prices that i have entered as paid are my prices in AUD, also my profile is set to Australia and i see prices in AUD, not really using pc parts price listing for things not purchased as ebay is most of the time cheaper. "Maybe consider looking into a new use for your monster server, or run all the above mentioned uses in that one server. " This was the intention, running everything on the 1 server including game server. 3 x 8TB in Raid 5 for NAS and dockers 4TB drive dedicated drive for the Game Server If i didnt go 20 core 2680 v2's what dual compatible CPU's would be recommended?
  4. Hi guys, So im looking to build my first server, idealy to be used as a NAS, possibly transcoder, game server, Steam Backup, Photo sync, etc. I plan on using unraid, and have partially worked out (and purchased) a build, but wanted some advice on final touches. Specifically im not sure around how much gap i need in a PSU, ie if system says it uses 515Watts is 650W PSU ok? etc. As far as a case goes originally wanted something fancy but then decided that since its not a flashy RGB build or anything a case with lots of airflow and room for CPU coolers (which i also dont know what to go with) is probably a better idea. This would need to be a desktop style case and not a server case. Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. - Budget: $3500 AUD- Zip Code or Location: South Australia- Specific Use: See above- Any preferred components?: whats Marked as purchased already- Any spare parts you can re-use?: N/a- Overclocking your processor?: Never done it, happy to look into it.- Need an Operating System?: Unraid- Need a Monitor? / Mouse? / Keyboard?: N/a- Need a Wireless Card or Adapter?
