  1. That seems to be a downgrade cooling wise (Meshify 2 XL too). The blank space in the Enthoo isn't a problem for me because I have a use for it.
  2. I have Dark Base 900 as my case at the moment, but I just noticed that air cooled RTX 4090 cards won't fit in without removing too many of my HDDs. I was doubtful about the airflow being sufficient in any case. I'll be installing a tower cooler for the CPU and 5-6 HDDs. I've looked around and Phantek's Enthoo Pro 2 seems to have what I need, which is good airflow with HDDs installed. GN seems to think it fine too. My vision is to buy 4x140mm fans and put three in the front and one in the back. As for HDDs, I'd put four in the back and two in the bottom front. My questions to you guys are: - Is there anything better available? - Should I do the fans and HDDs differently?
  3. My Dark Power PSU has 8pin and a 4+4pin connector for powering the CPU. I understand they're intended for powering mobos with two sockets. My mobo has one socket but it had a 4pin and an 8pin connector. According to the PSU manual, both connectors are on the same rail. Is there even a theoretical advantage to connecting 4pin+8pin from my PSU to my mobo?
  4. I did notice the XL R2, but I'm just not looking for four 5.25" bays. Plus since it's so old, there doesn't seem to be any comparisons to modern cases.
  5. If I was getting an AIO, I would probably get the R6! But I'm worried about the expense, it breaking and the extra noise. Thought I realize the first and last point might be moot. I actually checked the height (over 10 cm less).
  6. Seems like that would be a sweet case, if only it were a full tower. Based on the GN reviews, I'm more confident in the Dark Base 900 being able to cool both the GPU and the CPU under load. And it has slots for more fans if needed. It's a bit pricey, but it's not like you buy a new case every decade.
  7. I'm looking for a quiet full tower case. Quiet because I'm annoyed by coil whine, not by fans. On the other hand, I'm also an overclocking gamer, so I'd want something that can handle such things by revving up the fans. Is such a thing possible, or will all 'quiet' cases diminish my ability to get the best OC out of my CPU and GPU with air? Will such cases be able to control the fans themselves based on temps or will I have to do it manually? What are my alternatives, other than be Quiet!'s Dark Base 900? Requirements not already mentioned: - Black or almost black with little flair and no window (at least on the left side) - At least five 3.5" slots - Room for a large tower cooler (I kinda assume all full towers will have room) If the Dark Base 900 is my only option, which version should I get? The base version seems otherwise most suitable for me, but will I be missing the higher RPM fans in the Rev. 2?
