  1. Lol never a good idea for the internet just gunna give that one a pass.
  2. Hey, Just wondering what you guys would recommend for a cell phone carrier. Looking for a decent byod program and $30 a month billl (assuming the device was bought off contract). I understand that doesn't cover most of the "major" carriers but there are alot of pre-paid carriers that seem to be underground. As for my personal needs I don't use any data and would only need at most 200 calling minutes with the drawback being there would be a large number of texts. Does anyone know of a carrier that still just has a low cost unlimited texting plan? Any help is much appreciated, Beefy
  3. Hey, I own a laptop that has a brushed aluminum top and opening it leaves oil marks, cleaning solutions??
  4. Thanks for the quick answers and conformation! I'll definately be taking that route then.
  5. Hey just planning a really low spec system. I've heard of some trouble that occurs when you try and run a nvida card and a amd card in the same system. Just wondering if this is present with a amd cpu and a nvida gpu?
  6. Hey, Earlier today I watched a Tek Syndicate video. In there they talked about via, a processor company I had never heard of before, so I loaded up their page and found they overall have very low power processors. I will be going to collage soon and want to build a computer that could go to collage and be brought back home in the summer. I was wondering if a tiny itx system with a via processor would be a viable option (no pun intended). It would have a ssd as storage, a amd grahpics card, possibly the powersupply that came with the case, a motherboard that supports the chip, and low profile ram. Would this be a decent system to just simply load with linuix of some sort, and only program or surf the web on? Video Link: Thanks, Beefy
  7. Hey, So I've been told that prices are exceptionally high for Americans/Canadians that want to by a graphics card. Is there any way around this, such as, say, having it sent through a trusted service to a offshore location, then shipped to you? Thanks, Beefy
  8. Hey everyone, Yesterday I was watching a video from Tek Syndicate (link below) and he was reviewing the Cooler Master V850 PSU and it got me thinking why would anyone want a PSU that's not in that very high efficiency range? I understand there are money constraints and possibly size and power output issues but besides that what am I missing? Why doesn't everyone have one of these things? Thanks. 9. Ok well thanks everyone for the help.
  10. Ok but is there a place you can prove that it's better at something through reputable tests? Or is it more of a personal experience/preference?
  11. Ok so I'm getting that (ips) is the way to go, but I heard that (oled) power on each pixel, one at a time as to conserve power. Is it not really worth the price if the monitor will be around for years? Or do I have it totally wrong and (oled) are really only for phones because that's where I've heard them talked about? Lastly would (LCD) really only practically be used for gaming/programs that would benefit from a higher refresh rate, and not necessarily from better color/image quality? (Again I might be mistaken you said hertz but I'm confused if you mean a bigger hertz on the graphics card or the display?)
  12. Hey guys, Recently I've been been looking at the differences in displays/monitors. I've heard various differences between the different types but have never really seen supporting evidence from site to site on the various pros and cons. What I'm really wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to where to figure out more about the display technology (retina, oled, led, lcd, tn?)? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks
