  1. Hi I have the 5700 XT (Pulse). In the past 2 days I've been experiencing issues. Videos will flicker and the mouse will disappear as it moves around the screen. Sometimes my entire desktop will flash. Sometimes actions will lag out too (typing, videos, etc.) This seems to get worse after playing a game. I used DDU to ensure I got a fresh GPU driver install. I was getting lots of crashes during games, after doing the driver reinstall I haven't had a game crash so far, but my problems out of game are bad. Is there any other troubleshooting I can do for it? (I removed the overclock and no improvement). What else could it be and how can I check that? Thanks Ryzen 3600 5700 XT 16GB 3000mhz RAM Asus Prime x570-P Windows 10 64bit
  2. Oh I should note that I'm Canadian. Cheapest I've found a decent set is $80 CAD + $5 shipping + tax. Works out to be around $100 CAD.
  3. I just upgraded to the Ryzen 3600 (with the Asus Prime x570-P) I've got a 5700 XT. In the games I'm playing, I'm seeing 100% GPU utilization with 30-35% CPU utilization. The main games I'm currently playing are The Outer Worlds and PubG. I've brought over my old RAM - 2x8GB 2400mhz 15-15-15-35 So, I'm a bit tight on money and would rather not spend the $100 on upgrading my RAM, but I do have the money there if it will make a big impact. How much of a performance gain do you think I would get if I upgrade to 3200-3600mhz CL16?
  4. Yeah, that's the sort of input I'm looking for. I've seen plenty of people posting about how far they've been able to get. People with average results are less likely to talk about them I would think. My Pulse came with 2009mhz default. I guess there isn't supposed to be much OC headroom?
  5. There appears to be 25 entries and they all seem high to me. Is this really an average sample?
  6. I'd like to know what is average, below average, above average, etc. for overclocks are on the 5700 XT. I haven't been able to find much, mostly just people talking about how high they were able to get theirs. I have the Pulse so I don't expect to be at the top, just want to know where I stand and if I'm likely doing a good job. Mine came clocked at 2009mhz and 875mhz memory. Does anyone know? What are your experiences with overclocking both core and memory?
  7. I have an i5 6600k and just upgraded from a 390 to the 5700 XT. I have gotten a huge performance increase. Yes, the CPU now bottlenecks the system but I wanted an upgrade from the 390 and the only option that made sense to me was the 5700 XT. I play at 1080P 144hz and I'm getting 30+ FPS more at much higher settings in PubG so I'm quite happy with the upgrade.
  8. Oh I missed that part. I just saw the part about crashing when watching videos which is what was happening to me before.
  9. I'm having a good time with the new 19.9.2 AMD driver for my 5700 XT. Prior to that one things were a bit sketchy.
  10. *edit* I see you have a good driver. 19.9.2 solved my issues so at least for me I'm not having driver issues with it. And you have 'Enhanced Sync' turned off right?
  11. I have a 5700 XT Pulse. Just installed the new 19.9.2 driver (issue was happening with the 19.7.5 as well). Playing PubG my GPU clock speed is all over the place. Sometimes it sits at 2000mhz. Sometimes it dips below 1000. It's often sitting at the 1400-1600 range. I get great FPS when it is at 2000. Sometimes the dips cause the FPS to drop dramatically and causes stutters in the game. GPU MCLK is a solid 875mhz My temp hasn't gone above 75C (usually 70-72). My CPU Util is around 80-90%. I set my power to +50% in Wattman in case it is needed. I upgraded from a 390 so I think I'm good there. Windows 10 64bit Gigabyte Z170 i5 6600k @ 4.6ghz 16gb RAM 5700 XT
  12. At only 60fps I would think GPU would be a priority, though it depends on the games you want to play too. Some games are CPU intensive though most aren't. I am running a 6600k and a 5700xt and at 144fps I'm typically only using 80% of the CPU.
  13. Trying that out. No idea why it would be on by default.
  14. Working so far. Got into PubG. Haven't seen a crash yet (1 hour).
  15. Thanks for the tip. Downloading now.
