My friend has this PC for quite a while and it's not really great on the game he wants to play, Fortnite that is. He doesn't have a job and has a small budget to upgrade this old rig, so any suggestion will help. Thanks in advance.
Here's the specs as far as I could extract from what little time I had on it.
CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz
GPU: Geforce GTX 1060 6GB
RAM: Apacer Technology 78.C1GET.9K10C 8GB 1600MHz
Storage: Seagate ST500DM002-1BD142 500GB 7200rpm
Motherboard: Asus Z87-A (version Rev 1.xx)
I would say he has his graphics card on the latest driver update and uses "DriverEasy" every once in a while to see what's poppn'
In Fortnite's most optimized release, he could get ~144fps max, 100 average, and often heavy fps drops running on 1600x900 100% resolution, everything minimum.
Fortnite would take about 100% CPU, 50% max gpu usage, and 2.5GB of Ram usage.
I checked some videos with this graphics card and they could easily get 120fps average without drops below 110. But that was 6 months ago.
I can get more info if you need to know more, so just let me know what's missing here.
