Hi everyone,
Since the Netgear RAX120 Nighthawk and Asus GT-AX11000 are so far some of the two top 802.11ax / Wi-Fi 6 end consumer routers, and are both on promo sale in a local shop, but mostly out of curiosity to know which one is the best, respectively what the advantages and disadvantages are, I'd like to know what you know and think about these and which one you would pick.
I'm familiar with the Netgear web GUI but have no experience with routers from Asus. So maybe you can give me some insight on Asus' software and its features.
One thing that I'm most curious about are the antennas and the two 5GHz bands of the AX11000. Are there (dis)advantages / performance differences between the 8x8 and the two 4x4 antennas? I could see how the two 5GHz bands could use two different channels while the 8x8 could only use one.
Also, Netgear has what they call Smart Connect, so both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz band have the same SSID and are selected automatically. I suppose Asus has such a feature too? And if so, even so that both of the two 5GHz have the same SSID?
