  1. I bought secondhand acer predator GX-792-77BL laptop. It has 4k display that should support g-sync but i cant find way to enable it. I have updated my graphics drivers and done everything that i found out from web. Here is page of the laptops specs https://www.acer.com/datasheets/2017/4876/GX-792/NH.Q1FAA.001.html I am compeletely out of ideas. Maby only the graphics card supports the g-sync?
  2. My budget is below 1100 USD. I would love to stay on team red, but i have read (and kinda experienced myself) that intel and nvidia has the high ground when talking about vr performance due to games not being able to utilize all the cores. The RTX lineup is way too expensive for me and thats why i will stick with secondhand gtx 1080 or ti. I would not benefit the raytracing since i apriciate fps more than good visuals
  3. So...long story short. About a month ago i got my ryzen 7 1700x and vega 64 system up and running. Every part was bought second hand. I was not statisfied with the performance. Even my old gtx 1060 ran vr better than the vega. Well... i sold the whole system and i am starting from the begining. This time i think i will go with nvidia and intel. I am using rift cv1. I have planned to get used 1080ti but i am not sure about the processor since i only have knowledge about amd cpus I have checked the basic benchmarks tho Should i go with the normal gtx 1080? Can you guys help me decide?
  4. It is 2 stick kit. I am going to try to overclock them tomorrow.
  5. Vega 64 reference Ryzen 7 1700x Hyperx fury 16gb (2x8) 2133mhz ddr4 Asrock AB350M Pro4 MicroAtx I am getting much lower performance than i should. Gpu and cpu usage hovers at 30-50% and temps are good. Still getting crappy frames in vr. No throttling either. Could the ram be bottlenecking somehow?
