    What cooler are you using?
    Thermal paste can be wiped off pretty easily with a bit of effort and a paper towel. If you're having trouble or want to do a particularly clean job, isopropyl alcohol helps. 
     
    Make sure to quote a post or tag a member when replying or else they won't get a notification that you replied to them.

    The isssue being somewhat mitigated by the system on its side makes it seem like the cpu cooler may be loose. 
    What cooler are you using and what are your load temps?
