  1. Might have to do some research on how to do it, because I've never heard of this, but I'll try
  2. For the past few months I have had multiple issues with my computer crashing and having BSODs. I have gone in depth about it if anyone cares to check the WinDbg analysis of the dump files. While playing Black Mesa, my computer crashed again, and when I turned it on, it went straight to the BIOS, as it failed to detect the primary NVME SSD where Windows was installed. On my previous post about my BSOD issues, many users pointed to the fact that the crashes were pointing to an issue related to the NVME drive (though they said it could have been caused by the motherboard too). Now my computer stopped detecting my SSD, and I have no way of accessing my data. I wanted to test if it was an issue with the NVME slot or the drive itself, but I don't have a spare motherboard to test my NVME drive, and my current motherboard only has one slot. The drive is being detected on this current install of windows under Local Disk (E:), however, I can only access it by formatting it. Is there any possibility for me to test whether or not my SSD still works and if my data is retrievable?
  3. I have a B550M PG Riptide. I'll try this and see if it works.
  4. Recently I have been getting an awful amount of BSODs on my computer. They ONLY happen when I load specific games. Titles like Doom Eternal and Road 96 basically crash instantly, while titles like Titanfall 2 and CSGO never crashed once. Temps were also fine all the time. My graphics drivers are fully updated and so is my BIOS. I also set my XMP settings to default. I also uninstalled all of my display drivers and reinstalled them, but it didn't work. My final attempt was to uninstall Valorant to make sure that the anti-cheat wasn't causing a problem. NONE of these worked at the slightest. My guess now is that it could be a hardware issue, but I still haven't gotten any visual artifacts. I have a 6750xt, 32 gb of ram, a 650W PSU and a 5600. Most of these parts were bought in the last few months brand new. I would really love some input, because these types of issues on a brand new build quite literally convinced me that this will be the last gaming PC I ever buy. 8. I was planning on getting a 350-400 dollar GPU
  9. I wanted to know from you guys if the 6750xt is a decent card for high 1440p gaming. I was going to wait for the next gen cards, but I feel like AMD and Nvidia don't care about the mid range market right now, and that they won't make products for it in the next few months. So do you guys think I should get a 6750xt or should I aim for a 6800 for $100 more
  10. Not really. Some devs have clearly shown that it's easy to add this customizability to console games, and that people really tend to enjoy it. I mean CoD and Fortnite have it. Kinda shows how devs don't really give a shit about delivering on what people ask for.
  11. Nearly every xbox and ps game out there doesn't support it
  12. I was curious as to why some game developers are completely uncapable of adding keyboard and mouse support to their games. I was curious as to if anyone had at least some insight as to why this is the case. I feel like we have gotten to a point where consoles have become powerful enough to the point where if your only objective is to play video games, it becomes way more worth it than pc gaming. HOwever, games such as Doom Eternal, are exclusive to the controller, and that is a game that is pretty much optimal to play on a kbm. Not only that but ID seems to be a relatively good and engaged group, that cares about their work, yet even they completely ignore fan suggestions to add Keyboards to their game. I really can't figure it out.
  13. Hopefully a little more competition gives u better price and supply. I'll wait for DG2. Luckily I don't do much on my PC besides gaming, so my console will do me just fine
  14. My guess is that consoles have gotten better hardware/price in recent years since sony and xbox make most of their money from gaming service such as game pass.
  15. Firstly, despite the different names, the 3060 is a direct follow-up to the 770, and not the 760 due to msrp changes. Second, the series x is the latest console, and it competes fairly well in gaming
  16. Yeah, but this is dodging nearly every point made. It does have more applications, but it can cost 2x or 2.5x more. And also, the gaming performance is pretty much indistinguishable
  17. I have recently been seeing everyone talk about how building a computer at the moment sucks due to the current market situation, but I have started to think that building a PC wouldn't be worth it even in ideal market conditions. Most people can generally agree that the 3060 is a 1440p gaming card, yet this is power that consoles today are easily able to replicate. The PS5 and Series X can do 4k at 60 fps and 120 at 1440p, and even if you want to argue that it is not true 4k, most people can't tell the difference, especially considering that 70% of steam gamers play at 1080p. A 3060 has an MSRP of 330 dollars, which makes it almost the same price as a ps5 alone. And GPUS at this price used to be way better than their console counterpart. This price difference would make sense back then, as the 330 dollar GTX 970 would easily do 1080 60fpss with any game at the time, meanwhile consoles like the p4 would only do 900p 30. So why has the gap in performance apparently closed between thee two platforms?
  18. I just recently got my new Xbox, where I have been playing some of the game pass titles. I soon realized that like 99% of those games did not have any sort of keyboard and mouse support. I heard that there were things called Keyboard and Mouse adapters, which would be able to convert your controller inputs into mouse and keyboard. They recommended the xim4 and xim apex specifically. I would like to know whether these types of things really do work, and if so, what would be the best choice for me
  19. Bro thanks. I'll definitely sell my 970 like you said and will see if I can get a 3000 series some time
  20. Holy fuck I just checked the 3070 prices. That's like a 1000 dollar profit. Any tips on how to get an MSRP card? If it doesn't bother you ofc
  21. As I said, I got a a new gen console so Im pretty happy for these next few years
  22. That seems smart. I'll put it for 150 dollars then. Most people are willing to go beyond that. I just don't get it because the 970 unlike the 1080ti is just a shit card in 2021
  23. I'm waiting for next gen. I'll set up a bid at 200 and see what I can get. I won't be getting a GPU right now though. I'll wait for the 4000 series if the prices ever go down
