  1. did a whole bunch of digging, turns out I'm not the only one experiencing this, so I'm gonna wait for the next windows update to fix it. I made this post thinking it was on my end
  2. the extender was for my PC as it was just out of range of the router, after several attempts of trying to connect my phone and my studio lights, it didn't work, so I ultimately had to use the hotspot to then run my lights and my phone properly without disconnecting issues. this worked perfectly fine from august last year, where my hotspot could be on at all times on my PC so I could get Wi-Fi on my phone and I could remotely control my studio lights, but since about 4 days ago, I can no longer do this. when I activate the hotspot, it just passes the connection through and disconnects my PC, causing it to act as a router, only supplying wifi and not actually using it
  3. it's weird, because since august last year, it was fine, it's only been the past few days that it has been doing this, that's why I turned to the forums
  4. because my router itself is out of range, I'm at the far end of the house and my connection to the router in the living room is really weak/non existent at times, so I've got it running through a wired extender
  5. the best way I can word it is when I turn my PCs hotspot on, it becomes essentially a router and I just connect my phone to it so my phone gets wifi access, which is what I usually use when I'm at home. but recently (the past few days) when I turn my PCs hotspot on, it disconnects everything except the hotspot, which it never did originally
  6. I'm trying to boost the signal of my phone using my PC, due to the fact my phone provider has got bad reception in my room, so I use my PC to boost the signal of my phone so I can still use my phone if I'm doing something on my PC. but the hotspot that my phone connects to, on my PC, is causing my PC to just lose it's connection.
  7. so as the title suggests, I've been having a problem where when I turn my hotspot on to connect my phone to my PC, the hotspot works perfectly fine and sends the signal to my phone giving me access to the Wi-Fi. but the problem is that when I do activate my hotspot, my internet seems to stop working all together on my PC and the only thing that works is YouTube on the odd occasion. no error messages and the system still says I'm connected to the internet, but nothing is actually responding as if it was. it's only been happening a few days now, not quite sure what it could be, google has been no use, so I figured I'd see if anyone else had a solution Specs: AMD Ryzen 9 3950X Corsair RM750 MSI GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING X TRIO MSI AMD Ryzen MPG X570 GAMING EDGE Vengeance LPX 32 GB 2X 2TB Western Digital Bllue HDD 250GB Western Digital Blue SSD
  8. so, out of nowhere today my UX2 has left a faint static sound in everything I do, making it sound like there is a paper bag in the background. anyone have any experience with the podfarm 2 software or anything that'll know how to help? my specs are AMD Ryzen 3950X GTX1080ti 32GB Vengence RAM MSI MPG X570 Motherboard
  9. Any idea what could be causing the interference? I'm using the msi mpg X570
  10. Yes, yes and yes. Still hearing static on start up when the screens black and then hearing a faint static hum when playing games or watching videos. Have only just changed motherboard and everything
  11. Hey! so I recently changed my motherboard, I got everything plugged in correctly and as far as it can go. but now when i listen to anything, there is a low crackling/popping sound. any support would be much appreciated!
  12. I just did thank you to the pair of you for your support, I really appreciate it!
  13. Thanks for the advice my guy! I had previous ordered the RM750 but cancelled it as I was "cutting it a bit close" in the eyes of a friend, as apparently the 3080GPU range has power consumption spikes. Is this true? I just wanna make sure, just incase I can just go back and by the RM750
  14. that's my bad, i meant the 3950x. I was going to go for a 750w, but when I mentioned it to a friend he told me I was cutting it close due to "power consumption spikes" in the 3080 line
