  1. Yea never realized how little I knew about networking until know. I decided to go with two access points that would easily setup with my existing router. Now it makes a lot of sense why those range extenders I installed a few years back didn't do jack shit.
  2. What specific Ubiquiti product would you recommend for my application?
  3. Honestly I'm a noob when it comes to networking and I'm just looking for something to plug an ethernet cable into from my router to make my WIFI signal better throughout my house. If an access point will do that, then that seems like a good solution. Just need something easy to setup and be capable of fast speeds.
  4. I currently have the ASUS ROG Rapture AX11000 router and it's been good so far. The only issue is in the far corners of my house the WIFI can be pretty bad so I was looking for some compatible extenders that are easy to setup. I would only need two extenders total to effectively cover my house with WIFI, so if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.
  5. I recently got an LG 34WL500-B 34 Inch UltraWide monitor for working from home. It's been great but my only issue is that the stand isn't height adjustable. If anyone could recommend a sturdy, on table, replacement monitor stand that has height adjustability I would appreciate it.
  6. Yea I screwed both of the screws all the way in while supporting the card with my other hand.
  7. Appreciate the reply, I moved from a GTX 1070 FE to this so even slight sag kinda freaked me out.
  8. So I recently upgraded my GPU and I’m wondering if this is GPU sag or just my imagination. On a bubble level it shows that it’s slightly off but I’m wondering if it’s fine how the card is.
  9. From task manager you can't even tell anything is happening, I guess its just speed step or whatever doing its job. https://gyazo.com/cc40fd9d52c664159179ab5adfb0a3e2
  10. Well I went from a 4930k to a 9700k so this is kind of new to me, but this is normal behavior?
  11. After fixing my GPU issues I noticed my CPU clocks speeds were spiking while I just had my usual programs open, no games or heavy demanding things. I'm also using the Balanced Power plan on Windows 10. (CPU is i7-9700k) https://gyazo.com/dfdcec62970d2441811732197d6c324a
  12. So that little spike when opening a monitoring program is normal
  13. So my GTX 1070 FE has been spiking on MSI Afterburner and I'm not sure whats causing it: https://gyazo.com/fdb1f506834e7a43f0c7d66df51fd9d7 I had google chrome hardware acceleration on which caused more spiking but it's still doing it when I open MSI Afterburner as seen here: https://gyazo.com/a210a479f4bd0436627090fae96299b7 Temps around idling around 33c and hardcore gaming around 82c and my GPU drivers are up to date. Is this normal behavior for MSI Afterburner or...? EDIT: It also does this with HWMonitor as when I open it the numbers spike up but then settle back down the same way as on MSI Afterburner and then stay there the same way on MSI Afterburner.
  14. Okay did so and it’s all good now, thanks for the help.
  15. Not sure if it’s the fan clip but it seems pretty sturdy, the top fan clip is perfectly in and half of the bottom is in but I can’t seem to get the other side to clip or click in, should it even matter?
  16. Based off that information I think I'm gonna go with something like this: https://www.newegg.com/msi-geforce-rtx-2070-super-rtx-2070-super-gaming-x-trio/p/N82E16814137439?Description=msi 2070 super&cm_re=msi_2070_super-_-14-137-439-_-Product Its also compatible with Mystic Light which is nice.
  17. So I built a new system recently keeping only my GPU and storage from the previous one. The specs can be found here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6KBTsZ I have the GTX 1070 FE with the blower style cooler, in demanding games such as Rust in my new setup it runs around 82c, in my old setup it ran around 88c. This is because my new case has much more air flow with 3x 140mm fans but still I'm looking to upgrade to a card that will run cooler and get better frames. My budget is around 500usd and I was looking at a triple or double fan GTX 1080 TI's and 2070 Supers, the only thing is I don't know how they stack up compared to each other. If they're equal performance in gaming/streaming as that is my work load then I will go for a 2070 due to the warranty and the fact that its a new product but if anyone knows some performance numbers and comparisons of these cards I would greatly appreciate it.
  18. I was thinking about upgrading my 1070 FE to a 2070 Super (not sure which one yet) and I noticed that the 2070 Super uses two PCI E connectors. The cable currently connected to my GPU has a second connector already on that single cable, will I need to plug in another separate cable or is using the dual plug from single cable fine? 19. Gonna start my own airline company brb
  20. So after being on HWMonitor for a little bit I noticed something weird, my fans were running around 800 rpm but randomly spiked to 1600, then 19k, from what I can tell from listening to the fans the speed didn't change at all. I have the stock Corsair 3pin 140mm fans that come with the 750d airflow edition. From what I could tell all my other readings appeared to be normal its just the fans that seem buggy, is this an issue with HWMonitor or my system and should I worry about it? 21. The outage was my whole entire house, my pc turned back on, boot took forever, turned off, turned on, working.
  22. So I was doing some late night gaming on my new PC and randomly boom my power goes out, 20 seconds later it comes back on. All my stuff turns on including my PC and monitors, the PC was stuck on the windows booting screen with the spinning circle below, it was there for a good minute or two before I turned off the PSU as it was weird that it was taking so long. I booted it up and it went into windows like it normally does. My PC was hooked up to a Belkin power strip (not sure if it’s a surge protector) that has a green protected light on it. Was the first boot just a one off due to the power coming back on and messing with it or do you think there was hardware damage? Just worried as I built this yesterday.
  23. Appreciate all the help, I followed the steps and the same CS:GO benchmark that was struggling to run at 130fps with all low settings now runs at 430 average fps with maxed out settings.
  24. When I create a windows installer won’t it be the latest version on that media creation tool or no? Also thanks for the help will do that later today and hopefully that resolves my issues.
  25. I’m gonna do a fresh install but this doesn’t seem like an issue caused by 1903. I mean I don’t think a windows updated would take away 300 FPS in games and make your computer insanely laggy overall. Think the issue lies in the fact that I essentially got swapped storage from a 5-6 generation old computer into a brand new one. One question though, which reset method should I use, the usb one or the factory reset one? I want like a 100% fresh install.
