  1. Is a system with a ryzen 5 2600x, gtx 1080, and 16gb of ram at 2666 mhz better suited for 4K, 1440p, or 1080p
  2. Yes I’m using a single 8gb stick, yes usually the ram usage is at like 95%
  3. So in gta 5 online i get currently ~50 fps in the main city area on all ultra settings with a 2600x, gtx 1080, and 8gb of ram. While my friend gets 70 on all ultra with a i7-8750H, gtx 1070, 16gb of ram. Is the frame difference due to ram and if I get more ram will it help? (Ram speed is 2666)
  4. Will 8gb of 2666 ram bottleneck a gtx 1080 and a ryzen 5 2600x? I thought of this question when I saw that both my CPU and GPU were not in full use in an odyssey and thought it might be a ram problem.
  5. My edc is set to 125 but ryzen master says the max it can go is 168 so should I be setting it to 168?
  6. I just got my ryzen 5 2600x today and I paired it with my gym 1080 and for some reason I am only getting like 40 FPS on assassins creed odyssey.
  7. Ok so have it on the motherboard box, with the box in a cardboard box?
  8. Can I just lay it flat so motherboard is not upright and have the little prong on the gpu stick through the cardboard to stop it from falling out. While having the top open for air?
  9. Title says it all, can I use my pc outside of my case on an anti static surface for a week.
  10. Sorry it took so long to reply, but as Stefan Payne said at the top of page 2: That is what came with my powersupply but I didn't know I could plug that in as the holes in my motherboard looked different. Thank You Stefan Payne ur a lifesaver.
  11. I already bought that adapter and its on its way but the wattage output wouldn't be changed right? Or would it? Also the 4 pin on the right fit on my current motherboard which is a 4 pin even though the pins are not the right shape.
  12. Also could I just use these two combined for the 8 pin, even though one the one on the right is not the correct shape?.
  13. So how long do you think this should last me because in a month im going away for a couple of weeks and once I get back I should be be able to buy a good psu thats gold rated, so do you think this one can last a month?
  14. My next question is, doesn't the ryzen overclock on its own up to 4.2 ghz. Or is it overclocking past 4.2 which the ryzen does already that I shouldnt do
  15. I do not intend to overclock, however this psu is just for about a week or two until I can get a proper one so I just need it to last me a bit. I am upgrading because I previously upgraded by gpu to a 1080 without thinking its going to be bottlenecked, now the most ive seen the 1080 hit is like 50% while my cpu is at 100%
  16. So if I do, then there is a high chance of it breaking my other components? I am also getting an adapter that goes from 4 pin to 8 pin, but will this help it or will the output be the same? The power supply came with a hp omen prebuilt which had a 1060 and a i5-7400 so I dont think it should be that old... Also my psu does have another 4 pin but they are all the domed shaped ones, would it be safe to just plug that into the 8pin with the other 4 pin connector being correct?
  17. I am getting a new motherboard and cpu and my current power supply only has one 4 pin connector but the motherboard has a 8 pin connector, can I use the 4 pin connector on the 8 pin motherboard for a ryzen 5 2600x. My motherboard is the Gigabyte b450 Aorus M, link: https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-B450-AORUS-Thermal-Motherboard/dp/B07FWY246F
