  1. Interesting, what role would the ppi value play with those factors in mind, since i noticed this problem in particulary the aliasing issue is less to not noticeable at all on objects with "enough" available pixels to display the image. My theorie would be high ppi meaning a smaller monitor with a 4k display might solve alot of these issues.
  2. I am curious. does that mean a native 4k signal including a real 4k montior will result in better image quality then dsr 4k.
  3. Capture some videos with an ofsreen camera (Smartphone for example) that would be a nice piece of evidence for this, also ask him if he would be able to try his PC/Console at your place.
  4. There is a simple way to proof that theory but still nobody has definitve evidence, somebody just buy a notebook and hook it up with a generator or solar panel then we will know.
  5. Capture that with your phone or camera and send it straight to nvidia and ask them how that is normal in there opinion.
  6. It indeed is, my observation so far is that metall or other reflecting textures are the main issue here, thats also the reason why at night time most of the textures look absolutly fine.
  7. Still the question remains, what can impact every device in the same way and only localized while still persistent if you move a device. I honestly think we can nail it down to some very weird interferences or some power issue which in my opinion is less likely. Threre is probably nothing we can do and thats what so frustrating, alot of people get to enjoy games while for us its not possible for this very weird reason.
  8. Thats because a TV has bad ppi value, anyone tried it on a real 4k monitor with a usual size.
  9. Doesnt that lead to a certain conclusion, this means there are external causes for this maybe you can try some things would be highly appreciated, also how about asking them for support maybe they are more helpfull then AMD or Nvidia, just a thought.
  10. Capture videos with a ofscreen camera and describe in detail what happend and what you did, so far you are one of the few that solved this temporarly but your explanation is lacking at best, if we ever want to find out whats wrong we need to find out what you did or rather what changed.
  11. I am wondering that too, i just want to enjoy my games again, still in some its just that weird it cant be normal i am sure about that. Providing footage without this issue is rather difficult i guess since even videos are not displayed correctly.
  12. I can defintily tell you that this guy you are talking to is delusional, this issue though is very real for many of us and there is no solution so far which is frustrating. The reason why many dont believe us is probably that capturing the footage with software somehow doesnt make it visible for people that dont have it, i noticed this while i asked people on what they think about a video which looked awfull for me but fine for them. Here is some videos i captured with my phone that show clearly whats wrong:
  13. I just said its probably not the PC itself if you read my earlier comment which suggests it has something to do with the display or rather how the signal gets to the monitor.
  14. It isnt the GPU though as we noticed since changing that part doesnt work, means only explanation left is something is messing with the GPU its not like there are a lot of options and we still have no clue. We can try to localize wich parts of the card render AA and etc which might give a hint on what causes this.
  15. This is what makes me think there is actually nothing wrong with the signal from the PC but rather on how the monitor displays it, how else could you explain that videos show the same symptoms. What i dont understand is how something like that would be even possible this issue defys anything i know about logic and tech this is just getting ridiculous can you guys try talk to some people maybe in real life i do the same to gather as much information as possible.
  16. Consoles use nearly identical lPC components i doubt they are protected better then normal PC components. "Was that town's power coming in from a different grid?" Very likely since it is a far bigger town then mine and my town has its own electrical company, but to be fair its hard to tell where the power comes from in my country, because austria needs to buy alot of its energy from outside. From the enviroment, you mean power is somehow going weird while in transmission, well there we go with conspiracies again. There would be a much bigger outcry if this was a widespread issue, i dont know if we will ever come to a conclusion, but by logic UPS or solar panels should work if it was energy related. Cables are isolated for this purpose with a tube like faraday cage, what also is weird in my opinion power shouldnt be able to cause such specific issues especially not on various devices tech is just not streamlined enough for such certain outcomes. Lets assume we have the data and it shows clearly there is something wrong, what would we do, no company would be interessted in fixing this.
  17. A seperate generator including grid isnt enough, also you can only refer too 2 cases while the majority can safely say that using the same device in a different town doesnt work. This could mean we talk about completly unrelated issues or that the reports are simply false claims. I can tell you this much though i brought my laptop to Tech in a different town about 30km away and still had the same issues. We can argue all day but we dont have any proof that it certainly is electricity and if you are right we cant do anything about it anyway besides installing solar panels.
  18. Honestly i think you both are delusional, nobody here even gives a damn about thinking logical anymore its just conspiracies now. If it where or is electricity we are fucked anyway, i had enough talks with local electric companies (they offer a Oscilloscope service btw) and non of them thought it was electricity, thing is they wouldnt do anything about it even if i could proof it (according to the administration of my apartment). Which is why its rather pointless especially after people using UPS and seperate generators. Interferences are a nice theory but as some other people allready stated and i myself tried that aswell, moving your device to a different location would have fixed that. We wont get anywhere if we continue like this i can assure you that. Just an idea: How about a email wave of sorts to the linus team or nvidia, this is all about attention since we are not able to fix this ourselfs. Someone willing to organize some strategies to get attention, i think this is one of the few options we have left.
  19. I wonder what it is then, since electricity is equally far fetched, especially since every electrician i asked says its probably not that.
  20. Yea you got me there i work for nvidiasoft, to be exact i am the ceo thats why i try to misinform people on an internet forum, seriously now i understand why people think we are crazy its thanks to posts like that. Dude the issue started for me 5 months ago, for others its a year and again for others it was some other time.... there is no coherent time pattern which would suggest anything like that. It definitly is fine for most people, i am very sure about that since i talked with many people i know personally and they dont have this, i admit i dont know the exact numbers of people that got this issue but its probably not that many since there is no public outcry for improvements. "You dont have the slightest clue what we are talking about, and you didnt even bother to read anything until the last two pages." haha check my posts i made all of those just in this thread. No wonder we cant make progress with people like you around every senseable person cant take us serious after statements like yours. I want this issue resolved like everyone else here, but those borderline crazy theories wont do any good in that regard.
  21. Honestly i dont even know where to start here. "The only way this is going to be "Fixed" is if gamers wake up and let nvidia and microsoft know they are not ok with the state of videogames these days" You realize its not the fault of those companies, it was fine for me before and still is for the majority of gamers, else people would complain or why do you think we get no help from the community.... "And that can only be achieved if gamers stop wasting money on expensive cards and / or hardware like 4k monitors" Thats the only thing that can patch up this mess besides the fact that buying expensive hardware doesnt even fix this, which means the hardware is most likely not the issue here. "In confident this is just a problem of lower quality hardware components" Ask some people here many have this issue with RTX cards, thats not a low level component. "Companies manufcaturing the "same" components at lower costs, scamming people." You know there is QA and laws for that right, something of this size would have been discovered from tech experts for sure. "Also btw do you realize this is not a linux issue, right?" I talk about linus tech tips the forum we are on, they have a competent team with ressources, probably our best bet on people interessted to help us with this. No corporation will be doing that not because they rigged it themselfs, just because its not profitable to do since we are not many.
